DO NOT STAY HERE I recently endured a three-night stay at this hotel and unfortunately cannot recommend it. To begin on a positive note, the bar staff were friendly and professional, and the food and service in the pub were excellent. Sadly, that is where the positives end. The room itself was extremely small (approximately 3m x 3m) with a very cramped ensuite. There is a window above the bed which can only be opened about 7 cm, even with significant effort. I stayed in Room 8 and strongly advise others to avoid it. Directly outside the window, roughly two metres away on the roof of the main building, sits a condenser unit for the hotel’s air-conditioning system. This unit cycles on and off throughout the entire night, creating constant noise and vibration that made sleep extremely difficult. The bed was the most concerning issue. The double mattress was in very poor condition — the springs could literally be felt and pinched through the top surface. This is not an exaggeration. The mattress was uneven and uncomfortable to the point where proper rest was impossible. After politely raising the issue with staff the following morning, I was offered an extra doona to place over the mattress rather than a replacement room. I requested to move rooms but was told none were available. On my second day, I spoke with another guest who had just completed a week-long stay. When asked about her experience, she became visibly upset and explained she had also suffered from similar issues

The room was very clean and well appointed. Recent renovations meant the bathroom was really nice. The room was very quiet even though it was next to the hotel. We were surprised how good it was for the price. However the restaurant prices were higher than expected. The meals from the bar were more reasonably priced, being all $20 there.
