Ibis Hobart is well located, the bed was super comfortable, and my (king) room was clean and comfortable, with a handy desk. The heated pool, with city views, including mountains, and a glimpse of bay, with pool lounges, was outstanding and a highlight of the stay. The restaurant buffet breakfast was excellent, and good value for money when you consider what it includes: unlimited coffee and juice, pancakes, melons, toast, eggs prepared as you like, fried potatoes, pastries, etc. It was a bit disappointing that there was a public holiday surcharge for the breakfast on 26 Jan, which makes sense for visitors not staying in hotel, but is stingy for hotel guests. Similarly, there was a disappointing stinginess about the amenities. No proper shampoo and no conditioner - instead, the shower had a combined face, body and hair wash. Which - I don’t want to wash my hair with soap! And even if I did, I would need conditioner. The hotel really should advise guests to BYO shampoo & conditioner if they want these things. (Which, frankly, I expect to get in a 4-star hotel.) Similarly, the hotel advertises 24-hour snacks & drinks available at reception. I went to get a snack at 9pmish on a Wed night and there was a bliss ball or similar, a bottle of juice and a bag of what looked like trail mix available. Not a big deal, but not great. Customer service was excellent though & I would stay there again. Would just bring shampoo, conditioner, snacks & drinks!

Access to a pool was the highlight for my seven year old. Walk-ability to EVERYTHING including Salamanca Markets was great! Highly recommend the buffet breakfast. Staff upon check-in and check-out, buffet service were truly amazing and made our holiday experience one to remember. Thank you.

I liked that is central to get around easy. I didn't like their Mr Good Guy restaurant as the meals that we order were terribly loaded with salt that we could not eat and will not recommend anyone for that food.

I didn't like checking in and parking at the same time ,having cars bipping you to move but nowhere to go , and after that stress telling us to park a block away arghhh was very stressful, in that alone I will be looking at not staying at the ibis next time

Very basic - no smart TV, no flannels, no doona cover just sheets, no written info in room but staff always very helpful.

We found the Ibis to be exactly what we were looking for for this trip. Rooms and areas around the Motel were very clean and aesthetically pleasing to look at. I love the colour around the place. Lap pool, sauna and Gym was very appealing to us and again the area was in a very private location and well maintained and clean. This Motel is located in the CBD and walking distance to shopping and to the waterfront. Beds were comfortable with a choice of pillows and nice size walk in shower. Although parking is on site, it is limited, we were given a viucher to use undercover parking in next block behind Motel which was easily accessible as an alternative with a walkway through to the back of the premises. Only thing that was difficult was the amount of room to park while checking in, ok if not too busy when you arrive, but may be a wait at a busy time and traffic blocks one lane of road waiting to drive in..
