Let down
Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet my standards. I will say the staff was absolutely courteous, attentive, and kind. Upon our arrival the room assigned to us was beyond disappointing. As a child my family stayed at Embassy Suites and I’ve stayed at Embassy Suites as an adult and have had great experiences.. It’s nostalgic and always a great value. The room we initially had, was ran down- tons on cob webs in window seal and balcony, obvious stains on carpet, lamp shade rusted, just disgusting. And this was several hundred dollars for booking 2 nights. The staff kindly switched us rooms but again-more issues. AC did not work, it was surprisingly a warmer weekend in Monterey, Ca. AC would not go below 71 the room. Again tons of cob webs in window seal of main bedroom. Bathroom sink drain broken. Bathroom tub sunken in and small. Ice machine on floor non working both days. Bedroom mattress horrible quality, caused major backache trigger for me and husband, and we had several activities planned. It was daughters bday and staff was aware and due to first room issue kindly put together a care package for her, thankful, but still overall condition of room was soo disappointing for the price and great location. outside of room hotel was clean, staff was amazing especially at breakfast, super accommodating. Bar staff during complimentary reception was amazing. Nothing against the staff here,can’t believe quality of room. Deceiving from pics online and through 3rd party booking.
