Okay hotel, good price

Beds are fairly stiff but room was decently clean. Hard to keep completely tidy with visiting the beach and vinyl floors, ended up with some sand I couldn’t avoid dragging into beds. Rented two rooms for a large family and secondary room we had constant issues with having to replace the key cards. Almost every time we went back to the room they had to be reassigned or we couldn’t get back in which was very annoying. Not a bad place to stay and rooms were very reasonably priced but I wouldn’t say I recommend it.

Dirty,unhelpful front desk,DISAPPOINTED

Not our first time staying at this hotel but it MIGHT BE THE LAST! Upon arrival check in went smooth in regards to paperwork , but that's where it ended! The receptionist at the front desk was absolutely unhelpful! Our keycard would not unlock the door to the family suite located on the 3rd floor. I told her the problem I was having with the key and she insinuated that I didn't know how to use the key properly! I. Reassured her that was not the case.But that the lock was malfunctioning on the door. She wouldn't hear that! So she reactivated the keys and sent me back to the 3rd floor. Well those keys didn't work either! I went down to the office 5 times for her to tell me their was nothing wrong with the room or keys she thought it was me,but she wouldn't come check for herself! After the 5th failed attempt she finally called maintenance. Maintenance had to take the lock completely apark to make it work which he stated that they knew didn't work correctly but still rent out the room. Which also was confirmed by the receptionist that works the morning shift. 1st floor heater would not turn on.Because the breakers were tripped.I had to reset that myself. Upstairs master bedroom.One side of the night stand lamp and outlets didn't work! Heater upstairs makes a loud noise while running! We asked for more blankets for both beds because of the issues! But they would only give one extra blanket for a room with two bedrooms! The hotel used to be alot cleaner! We were very disappointed!

The location was great. we went there for our honeymoon. We enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace. Only thing that we did not like is the constant sound of the toilet. The breakfast was basic, coffee, tea, milk juice, toast and cereals.

My stay at the Mariposa was very nice. The room was clean and decorated nicely. I loved having a fireplace too ! The only thing that made me feel a little less safe was the fact that a room key wasn’t needed to go in and out of the building. I was traveling alone and that extra amount of safety is important to me. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable and the nice scent in the hallway was wonderful!! I would suggest that fruit be added to the breakfast even if it’s just bananas and apples. The picture online should be updated for the buffet as the wonderful pastries in the photo drew me in to want to eat the breakfast there but they weren’t there for the breakfast.Hard boiled eggs would add a needed protein to the breakfast as well .

My honesty review for the weekend

I asked for room service the morning of, arrived back at the room noticed it wasn’t cleaned. Spoke to management which he was rude, very short fuse making up excuses. I stayed on the second floor; had to call the office due to loud banging noise at late night hours, the same manager made up excuses for whomever was above instead of providing customer care. This hotel doesn’t provide breakfast just morning snacks (bagels, muffins, instant oatmeal, etc). Limited parking stall. I liked the fire place in the room, nice amount of channels on the television, refrigerator didn’t seem to get cold (turned it all the way up), microwave took sometime for food to get warm. Shower head needs to be updated, higher pressure. Also, it took the sink water over thirty minutes to get hot (kid you not!), I was going to call the office as soon as my daughter and I check-in the room… I informed her to let the hot water run awhile, that did the trick. Affordable room (two days, $348.00 + $48 pet fee). Mostly, due to RUDE management I will not recommend nor stay at this hotel again.

The property area was really nice close to the Del Monte shopping center and also have member ships to the Golds Gym that come with the stay if your into fitness! Everything was great but I got a suite with a fireplace heater and jacuzzi to have a intimate time with my wife but the fireplace did not work and the shower and sink water temperature took a while to warm up we took a Luke warm shower could of been nice to be a little warmer since the area was cold. Cleanliness was good and staff were really helpful too
