The cleaning staff were helpful. Out iron had a burnt plate and was immediately replaced with a brand new iron out of the box. We unfortunately had a very noisy family near us, baby and child cried for for long periods. Maybe families like that need to spaced between rooms. I did not like the remote over a camera for checking in or check out. I prefer a more personalised service. Shower head was very irregular and hard to get fully wet, especially to wash long hair. Otherwise the place was good.

It was convenient but not in a great neighborhood so you would not walk to dinner (if any good restaurants close). Very noisy. Although I had a room away from street noise, flights from the airport use direct path over the motel. Staff was friendly and courteous.

A great place to stay

Very nice, quiet and clean room. The staff was friendly and responsive. It is located within walking distance to downtown Monterey and Seaside and an uber ride to Monterey Airport.

This property had everything our party needed. A brief stay at the beginning of our family road trip, the spacious triple room (two double beds and a second internal double room accommodated our family of four, parents and two adult children. The room had complimentary coffee and toiletries and was clean and comfortable. Would recommend this property as excellent value for money.

I had a really enjoyable stay at Castell Motel. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything I needed — including a fridge, and free Wi-Fi that actually worked well. The bed was comfortable, and I had a great night’s sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. The location was also very convenient — close enough to the town centre to walk, but still quiet enough to get away from any noise. I also appreciated the little extras like the pool which made it feel more relaxed and fun. Overall, excellent value for money. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for clean, comfortable, and affordable accommodation in Monterey.

The surrounding environment was tidy and in good condition. The grounds were well maintained, parking was free, clearly marked and easy to negotiate. The room amenities were especially helpful! The mini refrigerator microwave and Keurig coffee maker were a nice addition. All the soap dispensers were full, we didn’t run out during our 5 day stay, this was important to me. The house keepers were attentive and always available, we had fresh towels coffee, cups, when ever we needed them, I appreciated their kind and helpful mannerisms. The pool area was always clean and tidy, I appreciated the water dispenser with hot and cold water available, there were always cups and Kleenex, these things were a nice touch! We stayed in an interior unit, it was quiet but the room was very small, the price point for our accommodations was very expensive, $200.00 plus for any night was to much. I purchased my room through a third party because the motel sight was more expensive! The motel web site was misleading, it stated there was a hot breakfast but I found out after the fact it had been discontinued during Covid. Due to our 5 day stay, the breakfast was important to me but it was to late to cancel my reservation. The surrounding buildings next to the property were not desirable. The person at the front desk did her job but she did not offer a warm welcome, this was unusual, I like friendly!

I didn’t like that the refrigerator was turned off I check before putting some stuff inside it was cool then I checked and it was off idk if they did it when they were cleaning also the door on 115 had a big gap I could hear everything outside which was kinda annoying would wake me up and I know they can’t really change this but the walls are pretty thin like I could hear the people conversation in the next room
