Very disappointed with our stay. The photographs online make the overall condition of the Centrella look brand new compared to what it is. The building is run down, the walls in our room had flaking off paint, stains, and busted hardware. The bed was falling apart and the linens were all off white. On top of this the shower went from hot to cold every time someone flushed. We left feeling ripped off given how much we paid and comparing the cost to other similarly priced accommodations in Pacifica Grove. Only thing this place still has going for it is the location.

If you are looking for a bed and breakfast with nostalgia then look no further. The staff is very nice and courteous. The rooms have an attached bath. The room and the bathroom are small but adequate. There are no real frills. I did open the armoire to find a drying rack, ironing board, iron, and hair dryer. There are a few plugs in the room to charge phone. There is minimal counter space in the bathroom and sleeping room. It was my first B&B and i think that it was cute and welcoming and charming.

Built in 1892, the Centella Hotel is a beautiful Victorian, perfectly nestled in downtown Pacific Grove. Walk to Lover’s Point for a stroll on the beach or adventure through the rocky cliffs for breathtaking views. There are countless dining options within walking distance or enjoy the hotel’s complimentary breakfast.

It was a very nice stay. The building is very nice and I liked all of the historic details. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was included and the quality was good but the options limited. I think they had homage yogurt parfaits, bagles, and two pastries along with coffee, tea, and juice. There were some off street parking spots but they were occupied when we arrived. There was plenty of off street parking. The ocean was in walking distance. There were a lot of dining options in walking distance. I would stay again.

Lovely little place. Walking into the room was like coming home. Very cozy and clean. The fireplace was perfect for knocking out the chill in the evening. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They always say hello with a genuine smile.

The hotel looks very cozy but needs a BIG renovation... Carpet broken right at the entrance, towels in the bathrooms are stained and smell of "antique" as soon as you enter the hotel and obviously in the rooms as well. I staid during a pretty busy weekend so prices were pretty high compared to the quality offered.

Please look at your to go coffee lids. They leak . The first lid leaked all over the arm of my shirt for the day. I went changed my long sleeve shirt that i had on. Went back down ...got a new lid and a new cup of cofffee and sure enogh...it does not drip at first sip but soon...like my third sip the coffee dribbled down the front of my newly put on shirt What a mess and surely disappointed. Breakfast is not free it's including in the included in the price of the room. Breakfast is not free it is included in the price of the room so if you want to go with cheap lids and cups maybe charge a little bit more on the room so we don't feel so bad.

Really cute and clean place with lots of Victorian appeal. The staff were super friendly and professional. It’s just one block from downtown, so it’s nice and quiet but still super easy to walk to shops and restaurants. The continental breakfast was tasty. Area is ideal for anyone seeking beach views and downtown walks. Felt like it was a good location to have the most tourist-y experience while getting enough downtime from all the activities. We appreciate the staff for informing us that we forgot our laptop and then shipping it a week later. They offer yogurt parfait for bfast and wine around 4-6pm!
