Nice, clean, and close to beach. I booked this place because it had a fireplace but I was disappointed not so much because it wasn't a gas fireplace but you had to use a Duraflame log which only lasts an hour and a half and you have to purchase any additional logs for $5. Which I thought was ridiculous! But what really bothered me was that the chemical smell gets trapped in the room, so I couldn't tolerate another log even if I wanted to, even though I did purchase an additional log, for this reason I gave this place an"average" rating!

This is our favorite place to stay in Monterey. It’s clean. It has a hot tub and heated pool, balcony, large refrigerator, and table and chairs.

We were in Room 108 1) Ceiling fan needs to be balanced. It wobbles at high speed. 2) Bathroom has water damage near tub area and . Water damage needs to repaired. 3) Shampoo & Shower Gel Dispensers had the Same product in dispensers! It didn't lather so I assume it was all shower gel. No shampoo, No Conditioner

Average stay

Breakfast wasn't bad and free parking and low nightly rate a plus. We didn't use the pool or hot tub as there were no pool towels and our room had just two bath towels for our three night stay. Without any housekeeping during our stay, we weren't going to use bath towels for pool/hot tub. Our first night there was no heat in the room, and the third night little heat combined with hard mattress and pillows made sleep difficult. On arrival, there was the very strong scent of air freshener outside our room - not appealing.
