The room was dirty, old and nothing worked. We went out for the night and came back and there was cockroaches on the kitchen bench, the TV wouldn't turn on and there was no hot water. We had to turn it on at the switch board. The bed was so old and the mattress cover was stained. The absolute worst accommodation we have ever paid for and it was expensive too at $200 per night.

I am sorry Ms. Anonymous, but I do not believe that this is a genuine guest. We do not have a tariff of $200 per night and no complaint was made at the time about hot water or anything else. We do not have cockroaches as the units are sprayed every 6 months.

The property is in a great location with friendly staff, The room was hot and stuffy with no fresh air ventilation and an inadequate air conditioner, dirty window glass, no towel rails in bathroom, 2 out of 3 light globes in bathroom not working and the bed was not up to expected standard.

Unit central to everything

Overall we were happy with our stay and would go back, but here are some tips for anyone thinking of staying here. There isn’t a daily cleaning service, so there’s no fresh towels each day, you make your own beds etc. Longer stays I think include one complimentary service, but you’d need to confirm this. A small amount of complimentary tea, coffee, sugar etc. are provided in your room, however if you use all of this and want more, you need to purchase these items off reception. This also applies to toilet paper, washing detergent and washing up liquid. This is the only part of the stay I didn’t like! So if you stay here, bring some of these items just in case. I’d also recommend taking some paper towel or an old cloth to wipe down the outside furniture, before sitting on it. The unit itself is very central to everything. Harbourtown, Australia Fair and Pacific Fair are only a few minutes drive away. Parking at the resort was great and each unit has an allocated secure underground park. The car park was also easy to negotiate. The light in our bathroom died on the last day of our stay, but was fixed within minutes after reporting it to reception. For our 4 night stay we paid approx. $110 per night. For the fact that there’s no daily service and you need to purchase more of the complimentary items, I personally wouldn’t be prepared to pay anymore than what we did.

Nice location but could do with a spruce up

Pros: Location
Cons: Time to renovate
Location: Location near the Broad Water is great and plenty of transport options to go where you want.
I picked the hotel for the location and the rates seemed reasonable, however I was disappointed with the room, and often it's only small things that make the difference between a good and ordinary experience. 1. the room had a good view of the water, but the noise of the traffic was constant and you had to keep the patio door closed, especially trying to sleep. 2. The Air Conditioner would not turn on so the room was quite stuffy with the Patio door closed. 3. the TV only had about 2 channels, all the other channels were just static 4. the room is starting to show it's age and the kitchen, carpet and bathroom fittings were starting to look tired.

Unpleasant staff who charged twice for our stay

Pros: Location
Cons: More friendly staff and better payment processes with WotIf
Location: Near Beach and very central
We were charged twice for our stay and reception was very unpleasant when informed. Great location however the terrible customer service and large amount of time spent getting a refund for the second payment ruined our stay.
