The hotel is not how it is advertised, its old and ran down, rooms have mould in the bathrooms, beds advertised as queen but are double.

The room was disgusting! Welcome to the overwhelming smell of mould. After inspecting the room I discovered the shower leaking into the bedroom and soaking the carpet. Along with the fact the aircon hadn't been clean in a ridiculously long time, if ever, has created the perfect environment for it to fester and create a smell similar to what I imagine uncut c U n t smells of. The fact the receptionist acted like he had something better to do, like I don't know, maybe gluing all the drawers of the hotel rooms dresses shut... HOW IS THIS PLACE GETTING BOOKINGS FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN A DEMOLITION STUMPS ME. MUMS!

The room was aged with a bit of cosmetic damage, but pretty clean with a comfortable King sized bed. We got upgraded to a Spa room, which was nice. Price was good.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom family suite as a family of 5. There was 3 towels, 3 forks, 3 knives and 3 non matching bowls to share. Furniture needs upholstery cleaning. The bathroom sink did not drain very well. But, the sheets were clean and we got fresh towels everyday. We enjoyed watching the bunnies hopping past at night!

Eltham Gateway is quite a big complex. I think it must have become quite rundown but the current owners seem to be doing renovations and upgrading. The rooms are large and beds are comfortable. Great hot water. More thought needs to be put into what is provided in the room eg 1 teaspoon, a hotplate but no cookware etc. The electrical appliances were, I think Chinese, but we were able to work things out. Some light and the aircon switches were in reverse...so if aircon appears not to work just turn the switch off. Our curtain was also not working properly but someone came promptly to fix it. The complex is on a couple of levels and has such potential. It looks like a lot of upgrades are being done cheaply but I can understand the upgrades would be costly. We were in the area for a funeral and the hotel met our needs for shops, cafes and venue. Overall our stay was comfortable and quiet, lovely hot water, and great aircon for the heatwave.

It was okay very dated curtains was not attached properly and the glass in the shower. There was nothing to say to turn the switch on and nobody can see you on the opposite side until it was time to leave

This review is aimed at feedback to the hotel. When we arrived at our room there was a ceramic bowl with ash and at least 6 cigarette butts inside. I washed my hands in the kitchen and touched some staining around the cupboard handles. Expecting it to be stain, which is fine, but it was grime from previous people. Having a 2 pillow option would be good. Light in bathroom very dim. Overall the grime and cigarette butts gave an uncomfortable vibe of poor cleanliness. Bed was comfortable.

For how much you pay per night, you would expect the rooms to be modern and updated, not something from the 1960’s. The stairs leading up to the room, felt like I was going to fall through them and the maintenance of the facilities could be done really nice to make the place look better

Was horrendous so bad we booked 2 night but reluctantly had to stay 1 night Tv didnt work no staff around to fix bathroom sink didnt empty Toilet fills to the brim while you use it The whole room felt grotty fingerprints stains every where Carpet stains every where Wall paper peeling off blood on the wall on 1 side of the bed we felt unsafe couldnt wait for thw sun to come up so we could go Dreadful slippery stairs to get to the room Dont stay there its so revolting if i could give it no stars i would Only positive thing is you didnt have to pay extra for parking
