What a great place to stay. We chose this hotel because they were hosting a concert we went to. We're so glad we did. Not only is the pub part of the hotel just across the driveway, but there is a shopping centre right beside it that contains a Woolies, a chemist and heaps of other dining out options. As for the room, it was generous in size and well appointed. The colour scheme of the room and the hallway is "dark and moody". The bathroom was excellent with a good size walk-in shower. The bed was very comfortable with a pillowtop mattress. The pillows are fluffy, but they do flatten out when you put your head on them. If you're someone who likes your head raised a little, then ask for more pillows to be delivered. The staff were friendly and efficient.

We booked in for three nights to attend a family wedding on Clear Mountain, having flown from interstate. Our first night we booked for dinner not realising we had to cross the car park to the adjoining hotel which was hosting a “rave” party. During our meal the table shook and we had trouble hearing each other as the music was ridiculously loud. The meal was substandard, on being asked how our food was we advised that our vegetables were stone cold. The young waiter returned with more vegetables but by that stage there was little point. We returned to our accommodation where the reception staff had locked themselves in due to the clientele attending the rave wandering in and out to use the bathrooms. The music continued until 3am, we were unable to sleep, the room vibrated. We paid what I would consider above average money due to school holidays, I definitely would not recommend this hotel, very poor management.

The hotel itself is amazing. If you’re only looking for somewhere to sleep close to shops, cafes and restaurants this is a great option but very pricey for what it is. It is not close to anything, the airport about 20 minutes to half hour drive. The water is about the same distance 20 minutes to half hour. What is local to the hotel is a bar owned by the hotel or part of the hotel? I will supermarket and number of cafes and restaurants. I would not choose this as a location, but was attending a function within the area so it was a perfect location for the function. Rooms are spacious and very well appointed for a hotel room but you are paying a premium for that. Most rooms look out on the roof of a Woolworths shopping centre or to the bar across the road so not a great outlook. You can’t fault the stuff the absolutely amazing extremely helpful and give you lots of information on checking in. The hotel room was immaculately clean.

It's a shame the pool was out of service, and there's no clothing stores in the shopping section. Maybe the function room could be set up a bit better for future concerts, though. They seemed very disorganised and kept expanding the "accessible" section when they should have known how much room they needed BEFORE people started arriving. Otherwise, recommended if you're looking for somewhere not in the heart of the city.
