Nice hotel in a good location, although the novelty of walking down the pier each time to get to the hotel did wear off, particularly as there is nothing much of interest to look at, many of the buildings appeared to be unoccupied giving it a slightly abandoned feel.
The outdoor pool was a great experience on a cold windy day!!
It was a last minute decision to go up to Auckland for a function. I got onto Wotif site and went with the mystery hotel and was very pleased to get the Stanford. It is always a pleasure to stay here. Great location, great service and wonderful rooms.
Fantastic experience! We drove down from Hamilton and were very impressed with what we experienced... friendly staff, clean rooms, fantastic food and 24hr tea and coffee (with milk ALWAYS readily available!). It was impeccable.
The captain was also friendly and informative and let us look at controls and things for the boat.
The only thing was waking up at 7am for breakfast but this was well worth it as the view from the boat at that time was amazing so it didn't bother me that much. Overall, we highly recommend.
The staff on reception are genuine and welcoming. They really make you feel special.
The decor is amazing. So creative and vibrant. Though some of the fixtures, particularly in the public bathroom need some attendance.
Rooms are great. Wonderful to see the deco theme carried through. The sound proofing is a huge plus, a very quite nights sleep. Nice and dark, and also the option of pull down privacy blinds during the day, a big plus.
Great sheets, feather duvets, though bed was very soft. great central location. Also very handy to take shopping back to if you have overdone it. And shops on high street all open on Sundays.
Overall a lovely night away from the kids. And great you can come for one night if thats all the time you have. Would return.

A vibrant boutique hotel experience in the heart of Auckland City's fashion and business precincts; the Hotel DeBrett …More
We had a girls weekend and booked a room on wotif for an excellent price. When we arrived we found out our room was a suite and waiting for us was a personalised card and gifts from the spa. We enjoyed the pool very much and the breakfast was wonderful. Location of the hotel was perfect and central. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall our expectations were exceeded.
I was a nice hotel with friendly and efficient staff. The hotel is not a luxury hotel but is definitely somewhere is would stay again when making a vist to friends in Auckland. Clean room, friendly staff and good value for money.
On a peninsula overlooking scenic Waitemata Harbour, Auckland CBD is not only the country’s major business centre, but plays host to a concentration of artistic and cultural venues in addition to nightlife precincts. In more recent years, much of the waterfront has been reclaimed for high-end residential apartments, trendy cafes and bars, marinas, and public recreational use.
