The staff were excellent. Breakfast was nice with lots of options. The room was had everything required for a stay of many days although I only stayed one night. The washing machine was a bonus though I had to look up the manual online to use it. The artwork was interesting.

Good location to walk to TAB arena. Breakfast had to ask for fresh fruit and fresh pastries to be topped up. Room was showing signs of wear in tear especially around the tiled bath. No extractor fan in the bathroom so window fogged up. Bed and pillow was comfortable. No dressing gown supplied in wardrobes. One very small couch to sit on not big enough for 4x couple's if staying in the 2x bedroom apartment.

The staff were, without exception, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The foyer, bar area and restaurant were a pleasure to be in with their interesting and wonderful artworks. However, the room we had was tired and felt neglected. It never had all the furniture in it that was shown on the website and what was there was badly positioned in the room. The kitchen area had only two place settings of each item, and their quality was suspect, including the smallest electric jug I've ever seen that struggled to hold enough water for two full mugs. The room was not generous and badly needs a makeover, plus the bed was not great. The restaurant was terrific, the food delicious and the service was good. We would go back for another meal there, but we were disappointed with the room so would stay elsewhere.

Staff at the front desk were a bit vague. Wanted $50 per night for car parking, but looked like no parks on site and car would be taken somewhere by someone. Room was very stuffy. Finally found the air conditioning was isolated in the switchboard and got it going.

Amazing location, amazing room and view, so close to any eateries that you want to try, very close to viaduct walkway, hotel aesthetic inside is so unique we loved it and the staff were so very kind, we will look forward to our next stay here.

Great location and great for families. Rooms are a bit tired and we had a couple of issues with dish drawer getting stuck, washing machine not working and not very hot water. However reception were responsive and had these issues fixed quickly for us. The Hippopotamus restaurant is gorgeous and great for a night cap!
