The room was clean for the condition but very dated and in desperate need of a refresher. If you are driving book a carpark as there is no overnight parking on the street.

Reception staff were professional and efficient. The room itself was very run down, cleaning had not been completed (no toilet roll, waste bin still atop the canity, bin liner crumpled in the bottom, bath stained, window frames dirty) windows semi-functional, lights flickering and no extractor in the bathroom). The bed was comfortable and the room was relatively cheap. I wouldn't stay again but if you just need a less-expensive place to sleeep in Te Aro and aren't planning on spending any time in the room, I guess it would be ok.

I travel a lot. Willis Wellington feels a bit tired and worn (for the price paid). The good? Spotlessly clean and fresh bedding/linen. The not so good? Bathroom a bit worn (chipped paint, general wear and tear apparent). Condensation on the windows. The room was very hot in the evening, and no way to cool it. There was some sort of fan/heater contraption but I couldn't get it to work. It's a decent walk into central Wellington. All in all, and 'okay' stay for the price paid, but nothing special.
