All the staff wore a lovely smile; the staff were efficient & co-operative without being obtrusive, Stayed here several times before but the hotel keeps on improving in all areas. I'm definitely a return customer.PS thanks Wotif for the great rates! Rose Billings
Good spacious hotel room. Short 8-10 min walk to Causeway Bay area. And great view of the HK skyline. The room comes with a free mobile phone device with tourist information, wifi which you can hot spot and take with you when sight seeing and also make free calls back home. It lived up to its name "Handy".
Hotel staff could of been more helpful during our stay. Asked for them to call a cab to Ocean Park and was directed to cross the street and flag one down ourselves. One morning was woken up by heavy drilling at 7am which sounded like was the room next door. Was told it was the construction site next door, however when I went downstairs they had been changing over one of the foyer doors. A few mornings at 5am was woken by the other rooms closing their doors when leaving early. Some front desk staff don't have basic English. Buffet breakfast is average. Was served an egg that had a completely green yolk.
Overall a great location. Clean and spacious room. Hotel staff and bells and whistles are average.
Small, well positioned hotel. Rooms are clean, well appointed and whilst not large by other country standards are a decent size for a HK hotel room. Pricing is pretty good too. The recent service add is a smart phone to use for free local calls and free selected international calls.

Right in the heart of Hong Kong, Wan Chai is renowned for its red light district but behind this reputation is an area full of culturally interesting things to do. Our Wan Chai hotels will keep you in the thick of the action while also offering excellent access to public transport to travel around the island.
Wan Chai is typical bustling Hong Kong with tall buildings and neon soaked streets and it certainly doesn't lack any character. The intersection of Jaffe Road, Lockhart Road and Luard Road is where the nightlife gets going and this area is littered with bars, shopping and the red lights already mentioned. For American sailors on shore leave this intersection is home but for those of you looking for something different in Wan Chai there is plenty more to see. Nearby Victoria Peak offers stunning views across the futuristic Hong Kong landscape from 1800 feet up. The tram up to the top provides a taste of colonial Hong Kong and there are a variety of viewpoints which look equally fantastic during the day and at night.
Another major attraction close by to our Wanchai hotels is the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It was here in 1997 that Great Britain handed over sovereignty of Hong Kong back to the People's Republic of China after a 99 year lease. These days the site is used for business purposes and for huge exhibitions and the building is very useful for any travellers heading to Hong Kong for business. Using your Wan Chai hotel as a base, a family trip to one of the most popular theme parks in the world, Ocean Park Hong Kong, is another great way to spend the day.
The charm of Wan Chai lies in its unique mixture of new and old. The buildings maybe getting higher but the character of Hong Kong is retained at street level and for a true Asian metropolis experience this district comes highly recommended. Book your flight to Hong Kong with us too
