"Easy to get to facilities at Southbank -"
The hotel and staff were very good. Disappointed to find that there was a parking fee. This wasn't shown on the website where I booked and neither was it mentioned when I checked in. There was no offer of carrying in my luggage, perhaps I was supposed to pull my purse out and show I was prepared to pay a tip - but with all of those gentlemen at the door to open it and remove my luggage - why was I then required to take it to the room myself? The attendant at the desk was lovely and offered me a loyalty card - The fact that we did not have to leave until 1pm was advantageous as I was heading north and my daughter was heading south. So connection times varied for us -

Very positive experience, certainly would happily return again. Staff all round were extremely pleasant and helpful. Only slight negative would be the in-hotel restaurant meals left a little to be desired, but this is the ONLY fault i could think of.

"Family City Holiday"
Hotel staff were amazing, especially Angela. The location is excellent and even though the railway line runs along the side of the building there was limited noise from it (we were on the 9th floor.) We had a fault with the air conditioner in one of the bedrooms and the staff arranged for a technician to look at it after hours on a Friday evening the night of football semi-finals. Although they were unable to fix the problem, they went above and beyond to try to have it fixed.

"Riverfire from the rooftop:)"
Had a lovely stay at the Sebel. The staff were friendly & accomodating. It's close to the Mater hospital and beautiful Southbank. The rooftop proved to be great viewing for the fireworks and aircraft flybys during the Riverfire festival.

"A well positioned apartment close to the Mater"
I had three of our grandchildren whilst my daughter was in hospital. They are great units, we had a washing machine and dryer which was wonderful. We had great views over the river, but that is the noisy side with traffic coming up Vulture street. Having the cafe down stairs that does room service was great and the food was very good

Vine Serviced Apartments

"Top location for convention center"
I've been to many conferences at the Brisbane convention center and previously stayed at the adjoining hotels. This time I stayed for far less cost at the Vine apartments which proved to be closer to the convention center meeting rooms, and vastly more comfortable and pleasant. The two bed apartment two bedroom apartment was still less cost than the hotels but had enough space that another person could stay. The room was very well appointed and clean. It was a very short walk to convenience stores, restaurants, and bars. I would book here in preference to the hotels that often come with a conference package. In fact, I would come back as a holiday maker also, as the comfort and location make the Vine Apartment a great choice for central Brisbane on any trip.

South Brisbane is one of the city’s oldest suburbs, with European settlements dating back as far as the mid-19th century. The area was predominantly industrial until the 1980s when it underwent a huge transformation as the city prepared to host the prestigious World Expo 88. Since then, the area has continued to be developed into Brisbane’s cultural entertainment precinct, with top attractions such as the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), Queensland Art Gallery, Queensland Museum, Science Centre and Gallery of Modern Art all located in South Bank alone.

A trip to South Brisbane isn’t complete without a walk along the river, where you can see spectacular views of the Brisbane CBD and the Treasury Casino, which is lit up in blue and pink every evening. Pack a picnic and make use of the barbecue facilities in the riverside parklands, or take a seat at a nice al fresco bistro (or pub) and enjoy the fresh air. Beat the heat at the man-made beach, complete with sand, palm trees and lifeguards! If you’re visiting on the weekend, check out the South Bank Lifestyle Market for an exciting range of crafts, homewares, designer fashion and delicious nibbles. South Brisbane really shines in September as the main venue for the Brisbane Festival, an annual event featuring live performances, awe-inspiring light shows and art displays.

The South Brisbane area also includes suburbs such as Woolloongabba, home to The Gabba, which hosts Brisbane’s top sporting events; West End, a bohemian community great for shopping and dining; and Kangaroo Point, an area popular for rock climbing, kayaking and other activities.

South Brisbane is just a quick walk from the CBD and is also a great starting point for your Brisbane adventure. Whether you want to catch a train, bus or even rent a bike, the area offers plenty of transportation options around the region and beyond. Sound like fun? Then book your South Brisbane hotel today!
