While you’re in Port Douglas, make sure to take a visit to Mossman Gorge
. Just a 20-minute drive from Port Douglas, this lush corner of the Daintree has rainforest walking tracks, a suspension bridge and river swimming holes.

to Port Douglas.
As well as being a lovely town for a walk, Port Douglas also has taxis, car rentals, and a shuttle bus that travels daily between the resorts and Port Douglas’s attractions. Of course, Port Douglas is also a great jumping-off point for tours of the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree, which sometimes include transfers from your Port Douglas accommodation.
