The staff was very welcoming. The location is beautiful, but quite far from Nadi’s airport.

Had a plate with cat shit on it outside our penthouse room and a glass with mould in it , obviously just put out from room as all leaves n rubbish swept outside door and left there and room stank. We did a trial and said nothing but moved it away from door to a table in the corridor and despite room service plates being stacked next to it it stayed there stinking for 2 days . No extractor fan in toilet , fridge had an iced up freezer , had no towels for 2 days ( whole hotel pool included ) , mouldy pool walls at swim up bar , paid for 5 nights left after 2 with no refund , didn’t care , went to the Hilton at Denarau for a clean and professional well run resort . The people at the pearl were great , friendly staff , just horrific management and no oversight on staff standards . Ps , the prices for drinks and food the same as the Hilton , no contest

Rooms in the old part of the hotel was a let down..said two double beds on their website but instead we got one double bed and two single beds put together which kept separating every time you moved. Rooms were very outdated. People next door complained about roaches. I would not recommend staying in the old part of the hotel. Seems like all resources and efforts is being put into servicing the new part of the hotel. Staff were super friendly as you except. If you do go here make sure they put you on the new part of the hotel and not on the old part or you’ll be bitterly disappointed and will ruin your experience. All the facilities were accessible and first class. They shouldn’t be charging four star prices for two star rooms.

Beware the room you are allocated!! We booked a family room, having not stayed at the Hotel before but having visited there many times over the past 10 years for drinks, meals etc. We watched the new section be built and watched the old section become more and more dilapidated over the years. Assuming they would not put anyone into the old section and with all pictures being of the new rooms we were horrified when we were put into a room on the old side which was quite frankly disgustingly filthy and unhygienic. The room stank of damp and was riddled with mould in the bathroom, main room and verandah, across all four walls and the roof. Further to that there was a broken fridge, shower head and a broken section of the sliding door to the verandah which lead to despite the door being shut when the air con was on, constant excessive condensation in the room. We were advised that we were not able to be moved because there were no family rooms on the new side so the only way we could move was to pay for an entire other adjoining room. We came to a compromise when we threatened to find alternate accommodation as with an asthmatic child which was being effected by the mould and damp it was not an option to stay, and ended up moving into the new section for the remainder of our stay, which was lovely. My final verdict....if in a couple room or adjoining rooms lovely, but book a family room at your own peril!!!

The hotel was neat and the stay was pleasant. However, we wanted/booked a Queen double bed, but we got 2x singles, one of which squeaked terribly at every movement. Our NZ$200 cash security deposit was not refunded on departure due to delays at the front desk and a waiting taxi. The reception desk said it would be paid directly into our account and now my signature has been FORGED on a receipt (received toady) saying we received it - a very poor forgery at that. We have a sizeable refund owing by the hotel's tour desk due to an excursion booked that was cancelled (scuba through South Pacific at South Sea Island) that we have been chasing for a month now, with no avail. We have had an email saying it will be paid but have received nothing as yet. We were looking at bringing the whole family back (5 adults) next September for 2 weeks but now would not recommend it to anybody. A bitter taste after a nice holiday. There is a definite problem at the reception desk.

Nice location, friendly staff, immaculate grounds, good variety of food. Mixture of new and old rooms and facilities. Unfortunately the old rooms are in need of some TLC with delaminating doors, numerous cockroaches coming through deteriorating cracks in bathrooms and walls, and beds were hard and uncomfortable
