The frontline staff (reception, dining, porters and room service) were all amazing. Lovely and kind people. We needed to amend our stay due to a funeral and were told to wait until Monday (this was on a Saturday) to speak with reservation team. When it got to Monday, reservation team stayed in the office and didn’t come out to meet me. Instead, told me to discuss my issue through email with them. As you can imagine it’s a difficult time and the communication made it a terrible experience.

Very disappointed with Lomani. We landed in Fiji to hear all ferry transfers that day had been cancelled and we would need to stay at a cheap hotel in Nadi. We received no further communication from Lomani. The hotel we stayed at arranged our transfer the next day. Upon arrival at Lomani, there was no mention of our missed night of accommodation, and they refused to refund the full day we missed. The staff, while not unpleasant, were unhelpful on numerous occasions, and seemingly disinterested. We booked Lomani for the activities offered. We understand the cyclone affected some of these activities earlier in our stay, however by the end of our stay, all the other resorts were back out on the water offering lots of activities, and Lomani simply offered snorkelling. When dining at Lomani, the staff messed up or forgot our orders on several occasions. We were overcharged for the buffet at New Years. My partner had planned to propose to me at New Years and had booked a beautiful table on the beach for that night. When we arrived, the staff at reception said the table had been cancelled, without any communication, and that wouldn’t be happening tonight. My partner was furious, completely ruining something he had been planning for months! We found the food at the resort to be average at best. The breakfast buffet was probably the worst I’ve seen, with little to no alternatives. We stayed in a Beachfront Bure with private pool, and the room itself was lovely.

Just perfect!

Pros: Lomani have taken advantage of a beautiful natural part of the island whereas some other resorts on the island feel quite commercial and man made.
Cons: Prices on the island are quite hefty, though we were warned about this before coming to Fiji.
Location: Perfect distance from the main island and amazing activities ie. cloud 9. We have fallen in love with paddle boarding too.
We loved everything from our amazing beach front Bure, literally 5 metres from the crystal clear water, to the resort pool, activities provided, the restaurant food and cocktails. Thank you for having us Lomani, we would love to come back some day.

Location: Situated on the big island Malolo Lailai, there are plenty of walks, swimming, fishing, snorkelling and other " eating places " if you desire.
This was our third visit to Lomani Island Resort, and as before, we cannot fault it. The staff are all AMAZING.....thank you all. We had a Beachfront Bungalow this time...almost right on the beach, large, light, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Great restaurant, scrumptious meals ( good choices ) and beautiful setting overlooking the fresh water pool. We absolutely adore Lomani and I want to say a HUGE " thank you " to all the staff. It is you all who make it such a wonderful holiday.

Classy, comfortable and peaceful

Pros: quietness and quality of accomodation and food and drink.
Cons: F and B staff could try to synchronise the drinks with the meals. it seems to take forever for your drinks order to come and meal almost over.
we had 4 nights on our way back from Hawaii. stayed in a deluxe room and not a bure. room was very comfortable and well appointed. staff were, generally, wonderfully friendly and helpful. quality of food was superb. overall it was everything we wanted.

Pros: Included activities such as snorkelling were great, especially being taken to different reefs, also good equipment available for use.
Cons: More variety at breakfast buffet, or alter food available at buffet every couple of days
Location: Transport to get to island and to resort was seamless and very efficient
A fantastic place to stay for our honeymoon, we loved it!

Quiet luxury

Pros: Pretty much everything!
Cons: For a small resort, I don't think that you could ask any more!
Location: Malolo Lailai island. Activities included reef snorkelling trips, use of non-motorised water sports, massage, pool.
As a destination to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, Lomani was perfect. From the moment we arrived we were treated with gentle care. The staff are so lovely in their desire to look after you, you really do feel like family, but at the same time, they aren't intrusive so we were totally relaxed together in this peaceful paradise. The beachfront bure is totally worth the cost - a little piece of quiet luxury, full of little touches that just made our stay so easy. The grounds of the resort were beautiful, even in the midst of a monsoonal low, and we delighted in the joy that the staff exhibited in as they went about their work, laughing and singing with each other, and greeting us with cries of "bula!" as we walked around. The Flame Tree restaurant staff went to great lengths to cater to us both needing gluten free meals, the managers cocktail party, kava ceremony and dancing was a fabulous coincidence on the night of our anniversary, and the use of the water craft was so easy. The biggest highlight was the snorkling trip (we only got one because of bad weather) - the variety and number of fish was incredible. And the proximity of Plantation Island and Musket Cove gave us other places to explore as we wandered the island as well. I absolutely recommend Lomani to anyone looking for a quiet beautiful experience of Fiji and I dearly hope we will go back soon.

Pleasant enough stay

Our overall stay was good. We'd NEVER book through Wotif again. Our plane changed and whilst the airline advised Wotif, Wotif didn't advise us, we paid for premium economy and ended up with economy, as the plane the didn't have premium or business on it, quite a lot of difference in the price - Wotif of course are refusing to refund us the difference as is the airline at this stage. Both are passing the buck. Ruined our birthday celebrations and wedding anniversary as well.
