Stayed here for a week with my partner in mid June. The hotel had a great location that’s super walkable to Times Square, Central Park and even all the way to 9/11 memorial via the High Line (get your comfy walking shoes on). The hotel itself is a bit tired, but the staff are friendly and helpful to answer questions. For the first 2/3 days the one elevator was not working which created long queues and wait times and frustrations - taking the stairs as a last resort. Once fixed it was a much better state of affairs. Our room was a decent size, not too much noise, comfortable bed with a bit of a what I would say “dog/animal” smell when we first would enter but we obviously quickly got used to it. We didn’t use any of the kitchenette facilities other than the fridge. The aircon was an absolute godsend! The shower was ok, and made an awful rattling noise when you turned it onto hot - but worked to a decent capacity. For the affordable amount we paid, and the location, we’d stay here again. Remember it’s not 5 star but it was clean and had a decent nights sleep.

Quiet hotel with spacious rooms for NYC. Awesome to have kitchen. Short walk to Times Square, Penn Station, and other attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Both elevators worked with no wait. Highly recommend.

I liked the property for the little kitchen it has. I brought some equipment of my own but it was worth it in the end. I was able to make some food while I was there and save some money instead of eating out every night

Enjoyed my stay at CANDLEWOOD. The only issue I had was the TV service. Limited channels and bad reception. The manager Kenny tried his best to remedy the problem but the issue as with the Cable service.

Greay stay.

Great hotel with lots of nice helpful touches . Fresh ice water in the lobbey daily and complementary tea and coffee was very convenient. Staff were very friendly. Hotel location is excellent for sight seeing.

Laura, front desk agent, delivered the best customer service! It was a little busy when we arrived, but she managed each person’s needs pleasantly. On 24th floor (room 2405), room and bathroom were clean, decent size and renovated fairly recently, comfortable bed, nice view, AC worked well, good water pressure, all Kitchen applinaces worked, desk space, decent internet, location good. The only problem was the elevator. Of the two elevators one was not working, so we often hat to wait 5 - 10 min. for the elevator to arrive. There is a safe in the room, but it is not fixed to the wall.

It was convenient location, but room was lacking. We booked the handicapped room, but it was a big mistake. The room had very little natural light and the lighting was poor.. The TV had only a few channels that came in clearly and the others were fuzzy or non existent. The technician did try to reprogram the TV and it made it a little bit better. The shower had a hose because it was a handicapped bathroom and water would get all over the floor. We had to build a “dam” of towels to keep the water in. At times the water was super hot even when turned on cold. The exhaust in the bathroom did not function so it was always very humid. Maybe we just got a dud of a room, idk.
