We stayed at the Hampton Inn New Orleans Convention Center for four nights while attending a nearby conference. The hotel’s biggest strength is its location—directly across from the convention center and steps from Riverwalk Outlets and restaurants—making it convenient during hot summer months. Most of the staff was friendly, and the property manager, Bryan, was particularly responsive and helpful in resolving an early issue with noisy housekeeping staff. However, the hotel is dated and in need of renovation. Our room had visible mold in the tub and a leaky faucet. Poor communication from the front desk led us to the wrong floor upon check-in, as the hotel has two separate “3rd floors” accessible by different elevators, and this wasn’t clearly explained. The most concerning issue was security: no key card is required to access guest floors via elevator, making it easy for non-guests to enter. We had a food delivery go missing, likely due to this lapse. The breakfast area was unmanned, and general staffing seemed insufficient. Additionally, phone communication was nearly impossible—the hotel repeatedly failed to answer calls before and during our stay. While the location and air conditioning were excellent, and our final night’s request for a room change was accommodated, the lack of adequate security and staff responsiveness means we’re unlikely to return.

Not the first time to stay there but this time was dissapointed. The rooms were not cleaned enough and veey old. Last time we got much better rooms. Breakfast was good.

The hotel overall is really nice..The bar located in the lobby is really cool too..Staff was overall courteous and friendly..Overall I would only give it four stars out of five because the front desk receptionist said that the hotel isn't serving bacon anymore after they use to have bacon sometimes for breakfast...don't take bacon away like that...

The first room we were assigned was occupied by someone else. We were reassigned a new room and the air conditioner didn't work. We told staff and the manager suggested us 2 separate rooms but we have our children with us so we could not separate into 2 rooms. So staff asked if we wanted one or two fans. I asked for 2 because the suite was large. They brought us one fan.

Fast and easy early check-in. Friendly and accommodating staff.. half a block from the convention center. Nice breakfast and coffee available all the time. Room was clean. Bed was comfy.

We got in late at night with our baby already asleep and the staff got a crib setup in the room before we even got into it! The food was excellent, and the staff was super nice. The only issue is a mustiness in the hallways
