Music everywhere. Loved it

Great room. Comfortable beds. Two sinks in bathroom, that's a win! Staff is so kind, friendly and helpful. Perfect location, walk everywhere. Surrounded by awesome music, good food and drink. Can even walk to French Quarter. Can't wait to visit again

My family really enjoyed this hotel and its proximity to local eats and live music. The bartender was fantastic and she made unique, tailored drinks for her guests. The only thing that could have been better was hot shower water being more consistent, but the historic nature of the property could be the cause of this. Other than that, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There was live music in the lobby every night! We would definitely consider staying here again!

No room at the inn

I made a reservation at the Royal Frenchman for two nights at the conclusion of a cruise. When I got to the hotel at 11am I was told the room was not ready. I then sat for three hours. When I enquired at 2:30 I was told there was a note on my reservation that I had been upgrade at no charge but the room was not ready. At 3pm I enquired again. She said let me go see if the room is ready. She returned and played with her computer. Then she said it looks like we overbooked and we do not have a room for you. But, do not worry, you will get a refund. I asked her what I was supposed to do. She said "that's not my job." I found another hotel and Uber'd there. Now back at home, I find out the hotel charged me again for that first night. And, I have not received any refund. I call the hotel but no one returns my call.

This hotel has a french chateau setting, and it's simply amazing! You can't beat live music šŸŽ¶ nightly. Safe location with so much to do within walking distance.

The location is excellent for any jazz lover and the staff is phenomenal. Iā€™ve stayed here multiple times and I strongly recommend it. Marigny is a little gem just outside the Quarter and definitely a MUST visit if youā€™re coming to NOLA. Royal Frenchman is a lovely and unique little place nestled in the neighborhood and has the best vibe. 5-stars across the board!

Every one on staff here is friendly attentive and helpful. From arrival to departure and everything in between. My favorite place when I visit. So impressed with The Marigny area and the locals, I will be promoting myself from 'guest' to neighbor before the end of the year! Can't say enough good things about this property, the staff, the live music and the surrounding area.

Like a glorified hostel

Was terribly disappointed in the hotel overall. Felt more like a hostel. Room was in the attic with a slanted ceiling, so if youā€™re anywhere close to 6ft, you wonā€™t fit. No closet (just a small rod with about 4 hangers) so suitcases had to sit on the ground. And although the bathroom looked like it had been upgraded, there was no outlet so good luck trying to dry your hair (though ironically they provided a hair dryer?) Also itā€™s right on Frenchmen street so itā€™s loud regardless, but thereā€™s live music in the lobby so you hear that too. Itā€™s fine if you donā€™t want to sleep during your stay. It was so rough, we checked out 4 nights early and booked a different hotel in the garden district.
