Staff were difficult to reach via telephone. Lamps didn’t work. My husband was ill and no one was available to help me find a pharmacy. We walked several blocks only to find out they had no pharmacy. There was a conference and they cared more about that than individual guests. Over priced poor service. Would not recommend.

The valet parking staff and front door team are the best in the business. Breakfast team also great. The bathroom is a weak spot. The shower is awful - 10 minutes to heat up. No pressure. Shower curtain doesn’t even reach down to the tub ! HVAC not great - sitting room fine, bedroom warm. Blackout blinds do not keep the sun out.

Really good hotel

Very nice hotel, staffed by hospital, friendly and knowledgeable locals. The room was a tad small, but that’s the only critique. We will stay here again on our next trip to New Orleans.

Nice place but not without issues. Booked a corner King suite and the photo for the bathroom showed a walk-in shower which is a requirement for me but the room actually had a tub with shower that was old and not updated. Also beware the windows do not insulate sound and the 6am garbade truck emptying dumpsters below sounded like it was in the room it was so loud.

Our room was nice and we liked having a suite. The hamburger was one of the best I have ever had. But most of all the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. From housekeeping to bar staff, to front desk, restaurant staff to people opening the main door for us. All were super friendly and helpful. It made out first stay in New Orleans fantastic. One day when we return, it will be our choice of where to stay. Thank you.

We love the Eliza Jane Hotel! We stayed here for part of our wedding weekend and loved it. It’s convenient to everything, but quiet and feels like you’re away from all the tourists. Very walkable to restaurants and main areas. Would highly recommend.

Pros: very clean. Comfortable bed. Historic ambiance, Near the French Quarter, but not in it. Occasional live jazz, pleasant courtyard, nice “library” to hang out in. Internet was good. In room coffee maker had great coffee. Cons: No bellmen. Very little water pressure in the shower and sink, very dim lighting — PC conservation nonsense? Insufficient luggage carts. Really slow valet. $55/night valet larking— this isn’t New York, guys! Deceitful fees, eg $30 “destination fee.” Lots of fees.

The room we purchased through the package was not available for the first night we were there. We had four in our party and they gave us a king size bed and said it was an upgrade. The last three nights we were in the room we paid for but the fire department was there doing inspections every morning at 9am. This meant the fire department coming into our room and alarms going off for an extended period of time. We never got housekeeping or changed linens during our 4-day stay.

The Eliza Jane is a unique, cool vibe option in a sea of cookie-cutter high-rise hotels. Large room, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Special shout out to Aaron at the front door - his cheerful greeting and sense of humor made our mornings. We're sorry we missed him on our last day - tell him the NY couple says thank you! Note to the hotel: More lighting in the room and bathroom is definitely needed, and hooks to hang things in the bathroom and bedroom would help tremendously. Overall a great stay, and we would book there again.
