You must have stayed in one of the spa rooms in the main B&B house though since there are three rooms with big spa baths. Although the Admirals View 4 has a lovely big normal bath too ....??? Hi Luke, Thanks for your 4/5 rating and nice comments. Yes that is a lovely room - in fact, it is the original lounge room and therefore has a fireplace and the bay windows overlooking the front garden. I am pleased also that you commented on the comfy beds and the cleanliness. We pride ourselves on both. I'm surprised to hear though that you felt it was a little noisy. I've been running the B&B for twelve years and we do over 1500 room nights a year in the main house. In all those room nights, there has only ever been one other comment about noise at the front door. Our guests are normally terrific and very respectful of other guests sleeping. Im so sorry that you have had to experience someone being a little insensitive. So .. to other potential guests reading this, please don't be concerned about this. I believe this is an exceptional situation but if you do want to have a later sleep in, just call us and we will recommend the best room or apartment to suit your needs. Best regards, Melissa

Thanks for your feedback on the cottage. I do love that little cottage. Just to clarify for other guests, it is called 'Stephanie's heritage apartment'. It is the front half of a Victorian cottage. You mentioned that it was not the property shown. This is because Expedia only allow us to use one photo as our main photo. Naturally we use the main B&B house since 6 of our 15 venues are within that house. If you flick through the 92 photos there though, you will see Stephanie Heritage apartment/cottage. (I've just done it now and it is photo 20 - although that may change as we add and subtract photos). My apologies again for the fact that Malcolm did not leave enough time after he knocked. Malcom is my 75 year old brother in law and does all our small handyman tasks every Wednesday. I had told him that you would not be there because you had said that you would be out all day and when I went down there to introduce you to the painter who was painting the outside of the house, you were absolutely fine about the fact that the tradies would be there. Malcolm admitted that he had not waited long enough after knocking. He said he got quite a shock because he was just not expecting you to be there. Of course that is your choice to come and go as you please but as I said to you when I introduced you to Sean, you only have to say the word and the guys will be gone. Sean's mother owns a B&B in Ireland and so he is fantastic and understands that it is all about the customers. Likewise Malcolm is particularly courteous and respectful and was most apologetic.
