Staff member was very personable at check-in. Very strange the hotel has a policy of asking guests to pay a £12 plus service charge (not to be confused with the city tax). Room was clean but very basic - one office chair, no comfortable seating. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom small, had to get into the bath to reach the taps when I wanted a bath. Maybe going through Hotels.com was why we had such a basic room with a wall by the bed which appeared to be dedicated to the air-conditioning units on the floor

Terrible check in - the receptionist was borderline rude; didn’t interact with us at all, made the check in feel like we were a chore. Room was ok, except when we discovered we had no hot water in the hand basin. We reported it, and were assured it would be mended. Three days later, on check out, still waiting! Customer service rating 0 Bar staff however were very friendly. Breakfast was incorrect both mornings, none of our orders arrived ok? How hard should it be to get the orders of 4 eggs or omelettes correct? Could not recommend, which is sad, and would recommend that anyone avoids it. Even more sad, for such a beautiful hotel building, we will never return.

Terrible stay!! Make the shower work. We could not use it for 3 days. Scalding water came out and no way to adjust it. On last night of our 3 day stay, they locked us out of the room. Spend an entire day doing London and get back to hotel tired and no way to get into room. Went to front desk for a new key. It was given to us with no explanation as to why we were locked out. We went 3 days with out taking a shower because it was impossible. We called the front desk on this at least times starting with day 1

Hot water not available in room 175. Made complaint to hotel at 7am - ran hot water taps for 24 mins before hot water was available. Maintenance engineer said hot water is a problem if low occupancy of rooms occurs. No lighting in lobby area of mini suite for application of make up. Very noisy, lots of late night disturbances.
