The staff was wonderful and the casino was great! Our room however was not updated, did not look anything like the pictures advertised. Our tv remote did not work and did not get replaced until our second day. The heat also didn’t work so I had to call to get extra blankets.

I’ve stayed at the Cortez several times. Nice old school casino. The new expansion is beyond beautiful, yet it maintains is classic look. The new Starbucks they added is also a bonus. Friendly staff, friendly dealers. The El Cortez is the place to stay downtown. It’s like going back in time. Five Stars!
