The rooms are old and neglected. Peeling wallpaper in the hallway, very slow shower and stuck drain in the sink. Not enough tissues and toilet paper stocked in the room. There is no laundry in the hotel or in a reasonable walking distance. You have to walk through the smoke stinking casino to get to the rooms and the elevators all stink like smoke. Feels like the hotel rooms are an afterthought to the casino which looks a lot nicer even if it smells a bit bad.

We stayed for the chess tournament during Christmas. Room service has to be requested otherwise towels won't be changed. Room is very dated. Bedsheet had yellow stains. I need to make several phone calls to get towels changed as they keep you waiting forever.Not sure which part of the old Bally was renovated. It looks the same as 2019 when we came for the chess tournament. Location is convenient but foodcourt downstairs and outside the hotel probably is most expensive in the strip. Ventilation is not good in the lobby level. Diasppointing experience. Won't stay there again.

Check-in was the worst I've ever experienced. Waited half an hour to drop bags to be told to take them out front where there was another half hour queue. Then ready for check in took over an hour standing in casino area choking on cigarette smoke. Online check-in didn't work, self service machines didn't work. Staff at both check-in and bag drop were lovely.
