The room was dirty and need paint and maintenance. I could not believe how horrid it was although the view was nice - I looked right at that sphere 24/7 and it was beautiful during December. I had even pre-booked a second trip for 12/11 weekend at the Horseshoe but cancelled because it was so horrid. I always go to Vegas each year for Thanksgiving and wanted to try out the Horseshoe. Never again. It was a dirty.

When we arrived, it took us almost one hour to check in. There were only 2 people working at the front desk. My credit card was over charged for our rooms, the explanation was the house keeping department left a note saying that we checked out after 5pm which was not true, in fact we left by 9am and dropped off keys. I Just felt the overall operations of the hotel was not so well. The location of the hotel was perfect.

Room was clean and spacious according to the budget. Most improtantly the location of the Hotel is excellent. But staff were not not so eager to help, may be busy. AMenities are not so upto mark, but anyone who just want to keep a budget hotel at an excellent location, hust for just the night sleep, and mostly outside to explore vegas and surrounding, it is excellent.

We had to pay $35 for an early check in before 4PM. We had to pay an additional fee for the floor we requested to be on with other family members - 14th - which offered no special amenities. We had to pay a daily resort fee for what I do not know as the pool was not open. The hotel was really very nice but when I asked about printing a boarding pass, I was asked if I was a diamond or platinum member and when I said no, I was told to go downstairs to the business center. Las Vegas is not what I remembered, and everything is extraordinarily expensive! Food and beverages outrageous! A cup of plain black coffee for $7? A single English muffin was $8. You have to be wealthy or on an expense account as they are clearly not going after the family vacationer or fun vacation crowd but only those on an expense account or high rollers.
