This was our 10th visit to the Kartika. Staff as always were exceptional. However, over the years we have noticed a changing guest demographic. More children and a very noisy breakfast room. Whoever thought it was a good idea to give young children balloons shaped as swords should think again. It was bedlam! Our only major complaint was the quality of the breakfast. The food was always cold or just lukewarm. We drew this to the attention of staff three times but nothing was done. The range of food offered at breakfast also was limited. This hotel can be noisy. We requested and were given ground floor rooms in the left wing, which were quiet. Smoking is permitted on the room balconies; consequently we copped a fair amount of secondary cigarette smoke. It was so bad in the first room we were offered that we were moved to another, better, room. Kudos to the staff for acting quickly to resolve our issue. It's a shame, but we probably will not return.

This is a fabulous property for families and couples. Love the swim up pool bar & buffet breakfast was very tasty. Would highly recommend a stay here and would definitely stay again.

We have been coming here for 30 years and always have the most amazing time. The hotel is open and spacious and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food choices are plentiful and the food amazing. The hotel is set on the beach and within easy access of shopping, restaurants and waterbom park. Absolutely love this place.

Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel was a wonderful place to stay. We had a great time. Our room was the cheapest and it was clean, spacious and well-maintained. We enjoyed the huge pool and swim up bar. There was entertainment each morning and night. The breakfast buffet was massive. Its in a very convenient spot and a short walk to Waterbom Park.

Our stay was enjoyable. Great service from the excellent staff, great pool and beautiful gardens. However we booked this holiday here as it mentioned being family friendly. In most cases it is except for the incessant loud music at night. I mean loud live band every night until 10pm and loud music in the bar until 12AM. The band music is so loud it is clear as day through shut windows and doors on the other side of the resort. It was a real let down as we have young kids and they were usually tired from a busy day out. Was a shame to come back to loud music every night after the loud hustle and bustle of Kuta. We will stay elsewhere next time as not everyone wants to party every single night.

The overall place was an amazing place. Staff, food, cleanliness, great range of restaurants available onsite anf outside of hotel. The biggest downfall was the new nightclub next door to the hotel was very loud every night until early hours of the morning. We could hear the music and the bass of the music from inside oir room with doors closed and tv on. I feel for those that were closer than us and especially if they had children to gey to sleep.
