We booked Mercure Legian as it is so central, and so much to do around the area. Check in was easy and didn’t take long, but most days when room service came to clean room, we paid for 4 of us and 4 of us were there, we would get only 2 or 3 towels. We would contact reception and sometimes they would bring more sometimes they wouldn’t. We would leave a note on bed requesting 4 as there is 4 of us and still would t happen. We were told at check in we could get a late 6pm checkout, and to confirm 2 days prior to checkout and we did we were told no, need to pay extra again, room is booked so have to be out at 10, then came back and said 2pm. I believe it is overpriced for what it is.

We stayed here before lockdown 3 years ago and it was great . This time round we had alot of maintenance issues , place was run down . Our door battery didn’t open so many times . Had to wait for hotel staff to recharge the battery so our cards worked so we could get in . Became an inconvenience waiting in front of our door for 20 mins in the hot heat for someone to come and fix the door battery . Another issue was when we placed the please make my room sign and some reason we would get 2 to 3 calls a day from reception to day they were not able to clean our room because they said we had the do not disturb sign . I think there was a language breakdown as we tried to tell them this is not the case and they may have had the wrong room number as we wanted our room cleaned daily . Hotel breakfast was average, alot of insects flying over fruit . Wasn’t very hygienic I’m my opinion so we decided to carch the cab and have our breakfast in Seminyak at Revolver . We will be back in July and we will be staying somewhere else like Canggu and Seminyak.

The staff were absolutely fantastic. Remembered us, gave great service, were friendly and welcoming. Some of the amenities in the rooms were a bit iffy - my dads fridge did not work and he was told they did not have a replacement when he asked for it to be fixed/replaced.

I was pretty disappointed. Whole hotel needs a face lift and new photos posted on websites as current ones do not match. Waited for 4 hours to check in to my room that was run down, from pool cushions outside being moldy, paint flaking from walls to rust in the shower, a fridge and kettle that didnt work. Bed sheets were stained. They cleaners dont even give you fresh glasses when making up the room. There was a dead bug stuck inside so i left it out to be replaced and they put it right back on the shelf. My family and i wont stay here again.
