Budget friendly accommodation. Close to amenities like Lake Haven Centre (3 min drive ) & 12 min drive to the many beaches nearby. Check in was straightforward. Pet-friendly. We stayed with our kids and dog and had a great short stay vacation. Kids enjoyed the games room. There’s a park across the road for dog walking or you can head to Budgewoi dog beach.

Pleasant place with friendly and accommodating hosts

We only stayed overnight at lake haven so didn’t get a chance to see much of the area, but this was a nice find with a lot of extras to set it apart - lovely pool (with a spa, though we didn’t use), a fun games room, and pet friendly. The hosts were friendly and communicative and though it’s part of their house it felt private. We didn’t attempt to cook but the kitchen seemed decently stocked if you’re planning to. Just a couple of small things to note - there’s no wifi, which is fine, but just be aware that reception for us in the room was very poor so it wouldn’t be ideal if you had to use the internet or work or something. Also be careful when arriving - there is a small (maybe an inch?) drop in the level of the concrete at the bottom of the path leading down to the room which is hard to spot if you’re carrying bags and my son turned his ankle and fell, so just watch your footing!

Was very short notice to book a pet friendly bnb. Chose as close to where my family for a family reunion. Bed comfortable unit clean and well stocked . Didn’t have chance to use the amenities this time. But enjoyed our stay . Comfortable bed and the unit was clean and welcoming.

No Wi-Fi and no mobile reception

The unit itself was OK. A little bit dated but clean. The bad was OK. During our stay, the weather was overcast with little of rain. After a couple of days the place started to feel damp. To be honest, the owners didn't advertise Wi-Fi. I made a mistake assuming that one hour drive from Sydney in 21st century having a Wi-Fi is given. To make the things even worst, the unit is located under the house so there is no mobile reception. My wife ended up having a few online meetings in a car couple a streets away. I asked for an earlier check-in (which they have accommodated) as my wife had an online meeting. Because of that, the owners knew we would need a Wi-Fi, but they still didn't mention anything until we arrived. If you need a Wi-Fi and/or mobile reception than this is not the place for you.

Nice little hideaway

The hosts were very respectful and helpful. The apartment was cosy, clean, and well appointed. I really appreciated the sparkling wine in the fridge. beautifully appointed apartment

We only stayed for 12 hours or so, so we didn't make the most of the surroundings. We travelled with our dog, and there is an area where you can take your dog for short walks right across the road. The place is clean, well equipped, bed is comfy (best night's sleep according to my husband), hosts are friendly. I would definitely go back.
