"One of the few decent motels in Adelaide"
Our flight was delayed so our arrival was after 10.30pm - on calling reception this was no problems & staff waited for us to pick up hire car & drive across the city. Our room was fresh smelling & pleasantly presented on arrival. Although the decor is dated the bathroom was spotless. Our bed wasn't luxurious and despite a bad back I found it ok & slept well. Breakfast in the dining room was fast & as good as a decent coffee house. Staff were cheery & welcoming & the coffee hot! We booked for another night 3days later so very happy with our stay.

"Nice hotel really nice area"
Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was nice Great comfortable beds! it was lacking a little though considering it was an apartment Small lounge area only and shared bathroom No laundry facilities no kitchen facilities at all no microwave or table and chairs So not what I am used to is when choosing to stay at an "apartment ". I have paid less for a similar place with all the extras Management take note!!!!

"Excellent hotel short walk to Adelaide oval etc."
Our room 23 was whisper quiet even though there was a live band playing at the pub. Our room was very spacious with a small kitchen and washer and dryer. There are lots of places in eat within a very short walk and also a well stocked mini supermarket. We went to Adelaide Oval for the football and it was an easy walk. Defiantly happy to recommend this hotel perhaps ask for a room at the back.

Art Series - The Watson

33 Warwick Street, Walkerville - Map

"Quiet suburbia within easy CBD reach"
The Watson is proof that you can make over a large Government building, a workplace where you would be prepared to stay and do overtime. Pleasant surroundings, although the large car park out the front while convenient, does detract from the hotel's outward appearance and not making the most of the riverbank and leafy suburban location. Convenient to the CBD, a short taxi ride or a bus trip will put you in the city of Adelaide where food and dining options are readily accessible, compensating for the limited options at and near The Watson.

    Pocket Guide: Gepps Cross

Get close to Adelaide’s main attractions with a stay in Gepps Cross, the gateway to the city’s northern suburbs. With shopping and markets, parklands, go-karting and a drive-in theatre, Gepps Cross has plenty of family fun. It’s also close to Mawson Lakes, a fancy residential area with a golf course and scenic waterfront walks. If you’re eager to check out Adelaide and don’t want to be in the middle of the city (but just close enough), book your Gepps Cross hotel with us.

Gepps Cross is well-known for the five-way intersection on Main North Road, which is where you’ll find most of its retail spots and other cool attractions. Gepps Cross Homemaker Centre is a convenient shopping spot with sportswear, music, electronic goods and fashion. You can find a more personal shopping experience at – of all places – Mainline Drive In, South Australia’s only remaining drive-in theatre. Grab the friends and family to catch a new release movie at night, then come back on Sunday for the Gepps Cross Treasure Market. There you’ll find hundreds of stalls selling fresh fruit and veggies as well as CDs, jewellery, knick-knacks and more. Anything goes!

If you want to keep the kids happy, or just have a little fun yourself, spend a day at Kart Mania. This go-karting and laser skirmish complex is the largest of its kind in SA, with a safe and supervised 550-metre track. Put on your helmet and tear around a track that takes you indoors and out, around tight corners and surrounded by a barricade of tyres. If special effects and space battles are more your scene, run around a two-storey laser skirmish maze and zap your opponents as a talking computer gives you advice.

Pay a visit to Mawson Lakes to play a round at the golf club or sit in a cafe on the promenade of Sir Douglas Mawson Lake. Even better, go for a walk or bike ride on the footpath around the lake. And while you’re in Gepps Cross, you’ll obviously want to go to the Adelaide CBD and check out the shopping, food, parklands and historic buildings. It really is a great place to visit.

There are so many sights in Adelaide worth seeing, from the wine regions of the Adelaide Hills to the beaches of Glenelg. Book your Gepps Cross accommodation and a flight to Adelaide with us today to get started!
