Staff were friendly, room clean but we found it was very noisy. We had 2 incidents through early hours of the morning booth nights of domestic abuse, verbal aggression, disgusting language ether next to our room or across the passage. No slerp had on the 2nd night it was that bad

We were given a room which was clearly designed for people with mobility issues. Seems like a waste given we are both able bodied and don’t need that kind of room. Also meant all amenities in the room were an awkward height for us. The walls were paper thin and we could hear EVERYTHING the people in neighbouring rooms were saying and doing all night. When we requested a room change the staff weren’t even able to identity which room was next door to us and we were told the room was empty (which it clearly was not). The following night there was a concert across the road which added to the noise issue. I understand this is not the hotel’s fault, but does highlight how little sound proofing there is. On the first night the staff phoned our room after 10pm to ask a question that was already addressed at the time of check in. I don’t think it is appropriate to be calling guests room after 10pm unless it is serious or urgent. There was no on site parking and we were given a ticket to a Wilson parking area a few blocks down. Although we were staying for 2 nights we were only given 1 ticket that lasted 24 hours, so not enough for the entire duration of our stay. Our key cards stopped working after the first night of check in and had to be replaced. All in all, not a great experience and 2 sleepless nights due to noise.

The pool if open would have been unique. Liked large room and small balcony access. Disliked climbing into bath for shower. Needs hand rail or judt get rid of the bath and have a walk in shower

All I can say is wow. Except also not, because don't stay here. Mould in the shower, the room smelled of mildew the entire stay, even after turning on the fan, the aircon, and opening the window. The carpet was soaking wet before we even ran the bath, which we had to clean before we even used. The carpet very obviously hadn't even been vacuumed, as evidenced by a very large, white comb lying on the floor when I arrived. The woman at reception was more interested with the conversation with her friend than in checking me in, and I felt as though I had inconvenienced her with my mere presence. If you have to pick between here and the Backpackers Hostel down the road, choose the hostel. At least you know what you're getting there.
