Best Western Alexander Motor Inn

980 Mount Alexander Road, Essendon - Map
"Cheap and simple, good for what it is."
If you just need a bed in a clean and quiet room this is a good place. Bed was comfortable enough. Bathroom is a bit dated, but was clean. Housekeeping was active early, meaning people planning to sleep until just before checkout might be interrupted by noise, but overall professional, clean and quiet.

"Great quick stay hotel"
I used vibe as a night stop over to and from port Campbell! The first night I arrived, it took 25 minutes to check in because there was only 1 receptionist at night and she was on the phone for so long. The cleanliness of the room is great, the bed was so comfortable ! The towels are run down and some have stains which I think could be replaced. The mini bar is way over priced, $7 for noodles in a cup is ridiculous. $10 parking is great, bed was comfortable, good for an overnight stop.

"Great for a short stopover"
We were here for a short stay whilst a family member was in a nearby hospital. We found this Motor Inn to be very reasonable for our requirements. Having free undercover parking and the Route 19 tram which passes the RMH and continues direct into the CBD was so convenient. There is a lovely park across the road and it's quite a nice walk down Royal Pde to the city. The facilities were very clean, and the room had a modern bathroom. I was disappointed in what I thought to be quite weak shower pressure, however. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed with full kitchens.

Amazing customer service. Television didn't work and was replaced within 10 minutes. For our trouble the hotel staff provided a free bottle of wine and art packs for the kids.
