Outstanding lobby and reception area. Unique layout and design given that it’s a converted castle. Friendly and helpful staff. Our window didn’t quite seal the first night so there was a lot of wind noise but it was fixed for the subsequent nights. Overall a great facility and enjoyable stay.

The castle was amazingly stylish, a mix of very old and modern that was so well executed. The bathrooms let down the accommodation overall.

Grand and luxurious

Pros: The luxury and the history.
Cons: Not a central location but still very accessable to Central Dublin and the airport.
Location: Bus to city is frequent.
A place to be pampered and to savour with a facinating history. Lovely gardens and atmosphere.

Superb Stay

This hotel is the absolute best in accomodation, service, cleanliness, location. The ambience and way we were made to feel by the team was fantastic. Wish we lived closer and not on the other side of the world. The art collection is amazing, the grounds are beautiful. All restaurants superb, Elaine is a star although everyone delivers excellent service. 20 out of 10

Convenient to Croke Park

My trip from Australia was primarily to go to a Hurling and Gaelic football game. I needed something close to Croke Park and this hotel was just a 3.5k walk and ticked all the boxes. Great bar area, good selection of bar food, drink prices were reasonable and a comfy room. Bed was comfortable and large. The price was a little higher than what I wanted but the city hotels were more expensive and you had to pay for parking. This hotel had free parking and a gym. Good choice and probably even better suited to people with young family as the 13th century castle but was a real bonus

It's a hotel built around a castle

Pros: The size of the room and the fact it's built around a castle!
Cons: Prices, food and drinks are a little on the expensive side.
Location: Near Dublin but not close to the city centre.
Generous room size, comfortable bed. Beautiful hotel. Lovely bar with amazing atmosphere. Good food. Only downside is a little outside of Dublin (city centre) meant a lot of Euro spent on cabs back and forth. It is actually very well priced hotel. We had a 4th floor room and it was just delightful.
