Wonderful luxury hotel

Wonderful luxury hotel close to st Stephen’s green. Parking available at hotel and also street parking on meter. Lovely leafy area of Dublin close walking distance to city centre . Airport air coach runs past hotel. Very convenient.

Really enjoyed our two night stay at The Clayton Hotel! The staff were all lovely and really accommodating and the bar downstairs was the perfect quiet spot for a nightcap before bed! Never absolutely rammed so could always get a table and had the sports on the tv’s! I’d say it took us a steady 20 minute walk to get more towards the centre but we liked this as the hotel was out of the way of the louder areas of Dublin but close enough to walk/taxi over. Would definitely stay here again if/when we visit Dublin again

Divine woman at reception recognizing my subtle state of exhaustion after a long week (I may have yawned fifteen times) said, upon my fairly early arrival when I was expecting to just leave my bag and properly check in at the appointed afternoon time, that a guest had left very early and the room had just been readied and would I simply prefer to take it now. I could have cried!! Reception staff each time I've stayed have been wonderful, so professional and friendly with it, and it really makes such a huge difference. For those not familiar with the building's specific shape, you may well have a slight trek once you exit the lift, but the rooms are typically very large and incredibly comfortable and utterly spotless. It's a nice, reassuring, grown-up place to stay. Taxis outside and plenty of buses, but otherwise just a short walk into the center of town. Or even if you wished to loiter nearby there are lots of nice restaurants and bars around and lots of leafy roads lined with lovely big houses with big gardens for any property porn fantasies you might wish to indulge.

I had a quick and smooth checkin, the room was clean and had all the facilities I needed, and the hotel was in a good location. I could walk into the city and find my way back easily. It is also close to the coach stop to and from the airport.
