Hotels with a Wedding Venue in New Zealand

While our room was comfortable & great location - the staff need to work on their customer service. We weren't advised of our free room credit on check in & even when I confirmed it with staff, it wasn't applied at check out. until I reminded them again that we were over charged. Check out is 11am but house keeping knocked on our door at 9.30am asking to make up the room. Also at check out after settling our room service bill, the receptionist asked to see the credit card we used for the bond again, which was unnecessary and a bit rude. Staff aside, the room was great.

Basic room but clean, coffee machines seemed to be served during breakfast so long lines for that.

When I opened the door to the room I was immediately hit with the sewer smell! The room was pitch black as the blackout curtains were drawn. A previous guest's room card folder was on the floor. Some of the light switches didn't work. The heat was difficult to adjust but I found an additional comforter. For what I paid, I was extremely disappointed and when I complained, the response was disappointing. The restaurant in the lobby had an odd selection and smelled like an old fish fry. The hallway on my floor was full of dirty discarded dishes from room service and abandoned luggage trolleys.
