We love our annual getaway at this location! The breakfast buffet is a nice new addition and experience! All staff is incredibly welcoming! The fireplace seats are our favorites!

Needs a big update. Price reflects quality of hotel. Carpets look like they have never been cleaned, chairs in room are stained and some rooms smell like smoke. I had to change rooms 3 times to get a half way decent room.

This hotel is not as updated as the photos show. The lobby is done well, but the interior hallways and our room at least had a more surface-level renovation. Old rusted hinges, old wires that had been painted over, and lumpy wallpaper all contributed to the feeling that the place was a little run-down, which is not what I expected based on the photos.

Love it! I'll stay here anytime I visit Chicago. The location is so wonderful, in the heart of Gold Coast and surrounded by beautiful architecture, the lake, and high rises. The room was very minimalistic but cozy and everything I needed. The bar at The Ambassador is one of my favorites in Chicago. Overall, a great stay and I can't wait to return.
