Thank you Chicago Getaway Hostel for a wonderful stay. I stayed here for approximately 11 days over two bookings and each time the staff were fantastic. I stayed in a one bedroom half bathroom which was great for a single older female traveller. The showers were sufficient and at most times available without waiting. The breakfast was included and was adequate for a hostel, cereal, toast, juice, coffee or tea and on some days muffins, yogurt or fresh fruit. There is a full kitchen and large dining area. I can't comment on parking but the public transport wasn't too far if you are able to walk a few blocks. The best part is the location, north side of the river surrounded by eateries and bars. I found it was quiet and safe. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to save on accommodation costs in Chicago. Hostels are not for everyone however this one was great.

This is a fabulous and affordable place to stay near downtown Chicago. The suite (with several beds and a private bath) worked well for our group. Easy pay-for-parking on-site, walkable to local restaurants and Lincoln Park, great common room: Highly recommend!

Great location, great price

Staying over one night to visit my son at college. This was the perfect little room for my needs. Checked into a double w/half bath. The priperty was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. While the bed would be too small if I was sharing it, it was just right for a single adult. The location and price can't be beat. This will now be my go-to place to stay when traveling through Chicago solo.
