The staff was ok. There was a problem with room cleaning since we thought it would be done before 5:30 pm. Must have been short-staffed or a new housekeeping crew. Also, we were wakened at 12:40 am from a sound sleep to an alarm going off in our room. It was a faulty smoke alarm that somehow was set off by humidity?? Anyhow, they came up and removed it. We found the food was very good, but expensive. Overall, a nice location and very clean I would recommend a room away from the microphone by the main pool

Stay was excellent. Professional and friendly staff. Clean rooms and always felt like I had support if needed with directions, recommendations, transportation or other things. Was celebrating a birthday so I would have appreciated something special in our room upon arrival but that’s not a big deal at all. Don’t hesitate to book.

This resort was a little underwhelming for a Westin usually they have higher standards. The layout was huge and confusing. We didn’t find the spa and gym until the 3rd day. It wasn’t advertised on Expedia as being a cashless resort so we wasted time converting US cash and now will have to convert it back loosing 5% off our money. We didn’t get our welcome package until the second last day so we could have saved money on restaurants but we weren’t made aware in a timely manner. Our flight arrived early and there was no attempt made to help us check in early even tho the room was very clearly ready well before 4pm. We were expected to wait in line again at 4 after already pre swiping my credit card for check in when we arrived at noon. By that time I was getting cranky as we had an early flight and the front desk was arguing with me. It was $20 USD for a bottle of water at their shop and $20 for onion rings but yet like $8 for fries. The pricing was odd. Probably would not recommend to anyone who is used to the higher standards of most Westins or just nicer hotels in general. If you’re type b you would probably be fine.

The location is exactly what we wanted. Quiet and away from the busy area of the hotel zone. It was nice that the pool area and lounge chairs are close to the beach. Bus stop outside the hotel was convenient. The only downside is no food options outside the hotel. The food at the restaurant bar was okay. Grilled chicken and salad and pizza was yum. I wish they offered more mexican food but the breakfast buffet makes up for it. Majority of the employees were friendly and accomodating. The little convenience store was great for late night coffee, snacks, etc. We like that staying at this property did not feel like a mega resort fortress. Expect to be asked frequently to go to the "concierge" desk that's connected to their sales department.
