Great small but wonderfull resort in Zona Hotelera they have sister hotel next door and you can access the restaurants also, end up upgrading to a room with pool ocean front it was awesome

Good location, room service was a little delayed. We had to ask for bottled waters like 3 times before they actually brought them. There aren’t many restaurants available at all times and there is limited availability. Other than that it was nice. If you get a plunge pool there’s no privacy and people will walk through your back deck as they please.

Weird time. We arrive, the lady at the front desk says we can get a discounted cenote tour if we sign up for a tour of the resort. They spent 3 hours the next morning trying to sell us multi-decade time shares. Once on the cenote tour, they brought us to a scammy jewelry shop and tequila tasting - delaying the cenote tour by like 3 hours. All in all, spent 6 hours of our 4 day vacation not getting to be on vacation. They set their guests up for aggressive sales people to target them. It felt like everyone was constantly trying to sell us trash and not taking “no” for an answer. I just wanted to be on vacation.

We had the best vacation with our family at GR Caribe. Lu and Miriam did a great job attending to our every need in guest services, including dinner reservations, a great room, and excellent room decorations. The meals and restraints were perfect with service from Captain Fabian at Cafe Solaris, Captain Darwin at Veneto, Roger the waiter at Bogavante, and especially Ricky the waiter at Marco Polo. Maggie from the entertainment staff went above and beyond with activities for the grand kids, they loved making bracelets with her.

Great food and service for the price! There are some improvements needed in the drinks and desserts menu (lack of variety and quality) and the breakfast buffet also needs some improvement, but would definetely recommend it!

There were pros and cons to this resort. This was my 4th visit to Mexico and it was my least favourite. First time at this resort. Firstly, check in took a long time. There is only one person that works the front desk. Secondly, there are staff in blue shirts beside reception that tell you there is a mandatory “tour” you must attend. They also want your ID, 2 credit cards and a deposit. The next morning, they took us into a room and tried to sell us on a club membership. We felt very uncomfortable after declining them. Third, the food was a 5 out of 10. The buffet options were strange and they were not labeled properly. Breakfast buffet was good. Snack bar was very messy. Staff at snack bar and pizza place were not friendly. Lastly, we asked for late check out and were told our room was booked so we could not check out late. I thought check out was noon, we got to front desk and were told we had to pay $60 usd as check out was 11:30, not noon. Then after arguing with the rude lady at front desk, we were offered late check out at 3pm if we paid the $60. But they said late check out was not available! Scams. We will not return to this resort.

Disappointed. High season but expected more for the price! Ocean view was a tiny window. No balcony! Very little shade on the beach. Just a few umbrellas. Beach chairs were old and saggy. Bathroom had a light out and missing a towel rack. Difficult booking restaurants for the times we needed. Layout of the facilities is confusing. Avoid if you have any mobility issues. Steps everywhere. Staff was nice.

We stayed in the beachfront room with plunge pool. The view was unbeatable from our room and it's well worth the price. We also loved the fact that the hotel wasn't too crowded and we could get around easily. But we did face some issues as well - -We hung some of our beachware out to dry overnight in the balcony and those were stolen. I reported it to the front desk but didn't get much help except for an apology. -The food at the buffet and the a la carte restaurants were all very bland and didn't taste good at all. -The air-conditioning in the room was loud and constantly woke us up in the middle of the night. Overall there's lots of room to improve still.

Omg the best hotel ever! Great customer service , amenities amazing . Love the view the most from my room. I had ocean view . Wished I had a balcony but my heart was full being able to wake up to such a view . The food was great : wish I spent more time: I am definitely visiting again soon.
