My experience at this resort was nothing short of extraordinary. While I had previously thought Excellence in Jamaica set the gold standard, the service here surpassed even my highest expectations. Lecia, stationed by the pizza grill, ensured a seamless flow of food and beverages, enhancing the overall relaxation of the experience. The spa merits particular mention—an unparalleled oasis of rejuvenation. I indulged in a three-hour service, entering fatigued and leaving revitalized beyond measure. While my stay was overwhelmingly positive, I must note a minor hiccup during the check-in process. Although I arrived early and my room was not immediately accessible, the resort graciously allowed me to enjoy the on-site restaurants while waiting. This thoughtful accommodation mitigated any inconvenience. I am already making plans to return in a few months, a testament to the exceptional quality of this resort. If you are considering a visit, do not hesitate. Book It!

Overall, the property, staff, and food were very good to excellent. In fact, I would have rate some areas as excellent, but the fact that we could not use the beach and/or go into the ocean was a big negative. The entire shoreline was plagued with sargassum seaweed bloom. While I understand this is not the fault of the resort, it still was a huge drawback in our stay and being confined to the pool. Without the seaweed issue and with beautiful blue water, as should be expected in this area, I would rate the resort as excellent.

The staff were amazing but the property is older compared to the updated resorts. They were fixing something every day. The people hog the pool chairs all day when there not even in them.

My first time ever traveling to Mexico. As a solo traveler on this trip I planned on only focusing soaking up the sun, staying on the resort just to get the feel of Cancún. I was looking for an All inclusive Adult’s only. What caught my eye about Excellence Riviera Cancun was the white sandy beach ( that sold me immediately) I was hoping to get an ocean front (all sold out) I end up getting a jr suite pool view. This hotel exceeded my expectation's. The staff was Amazing you literally are catered too. I mostly layed out on the beach under the hut while drinks and food was catered. The staff go above and beyond. I was extremely impressed and definitely plan to be back. This time in hopes of an ocean front view and do plan on taking advantage of the many excursions they have to offer.

Overall, this was an average all-inclusive experience, definitely not a luxury stay compared to other resorts at similar price points. First, you’ll need to upgrade your room to access the full range of amenities. Without the upgrade, you won’t have access to all the pools, restaurants, and other features. I wish I had known that ahead of time. At most resorts, an upgraded room means a better room, here, it’s more about unlocking parts of the resort. Second, the entertainment was virtually non-existent, which was disappointing. Lastly, the décor and finishes throughout the resort felt quite outdated and in need of a refresh. That said, the food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Next season, I’ll be returning to Valentine Imperial, I won’t be coming back here

Just left this Resort. Property was beautiful and clean. Food was Excellent Beach was Goregous there is Seaweed in the ocean but I didn't mind much. The Staff was Wonderful and helpful. Expedia hooked us up with the VIP Experience which was totally worth it me and my wife felt special....the TomaHawk Steak Was Delicous and they help arrange Transportation to places outside of the Resort. It's hard to imagine a better experience. There were several weddings there While we were there and everyone looked like they had a blast. the Daily music selection around the pools could use some updating and been more upbeat. But this place was deffinatly worth the Money. You also want to make sure to bring Dress Shoes Pants and Shirt for resturants that have dress codes. Also the Hydro Spa Experience Was AMAZING!

Property was nice, quiet and easy to relax. Food was average, wait staff was exceptional. Negatives, AC turns off randomly, no hot water in shower and limited eating options on Sundays. Hotel was nice, check in was a little hectic. We were in a suite, VIP, etc and didn’t get in room until an hour after check in, we arrived at hotel at 11:30.
