The staff like at most all resorts absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond to make your experience the best that they can. Location is good. For the price its worth giving it a chance. What i didnt like was that there was not enough seats at the beach and poolside. Unless you get up early to save a seat you can be waiting all day or go without getting a place to lay out. The most disappointing was i messaged the resort about dress policy for dinner and they said pants short sleeeve shirt and closed toe shoes mandatory for dinner so i packed pants and collard shirts for dinner but once i arrived over half at every restaurant wore shorts. This pissed me off because on vacation i want to wear shorts and would have definitely packed dress shorts instead of pants. This has me still upset . They need to figure there policies out. Management also needs to hire a few more workers for the buffet area . They run around the entire time trying to keep up slowing down drink service. They do all that they can to please everyone with a smile on there face but a few extra floor workers would be wonderful. They also could heat one of the pools during the winter months for a better experience. This would definitely help get more people involved in pool fun. Overall a good experience for a budget price hotel. Gustavo and Jesus at the swimup bar were fantastic and Poncho at the el baso restaurant was wonderful.

The entire swim-up pool bar staff were absolutely fantastic!!! GUSTAVO in particular was the perfect example of what great customer service should look like. He works SO hard, he’s friendly, he takes care of you, his drinks are top-notch. He goes way above and beyond to ensure your trip is memorable and wonderful! Please make sure you visit and say “hi” to him. Thank you to the entire Ocean Coral staff - it was a family vacation we will never forget.
