Beach is terrible but walk a bit pass the dolphins to a better beach . Food was good lot of options. Front desk would not phone us our driver was at the front for us .

Hotel El Cid was beautiful and well maintained. The staff were friendly and professional. Getting around the three hotels was made easy by the golf cart service. The beach was small and unattractive. We didn’t go near it. If you’re big on good food this is not the place. None of the restaurants or buffets were good at all. Other than the food it was a good experience.

My family and I have been coming to this resort for several years, I have always loved it and recommended to other family and friends, our expectation to get there was very high and could not wait to start enjoying our stay, little that I know, it was going to be a terri le experience, the night we arrived, the guest staff person received us was rude, and not at all friendly, he begun by telling us that we had to pay a daily service fee mounting to almost $150 extra for our stay, when I asked what was this fee, he could no explain it and only kept saying it was something new and we had to pay, what are we supposed to do in those moments, we were already there and if we did not pay that extra fee they it on us we wouldn’t not get our room, he then started arguing that I did not book a two queen beds room a that booked a 1 bed and a Murphy bed, I showed him my booking confirmation and he kept telling me the same, terrible rude guy!! He then gave us a room on the Ha side across the street from the hotel, we were so tired and it was almost 11 pm that we didn’t realize we were getting dropped off across the street, not until the morning that I went into to balcony I realized that was nothing but jungle and power towers as my view, I was fuming! I went back to the reception area and explain the situation, and again, the other started saying that it was their policy to accommodate where ever they had space and that they were fully booked, I lost it, be aware never again, no longer

Very safe resort. We took 4 adults and 6 teens. It was safe enough to allow the teens to stay by the pools and walk to/from rooms alone. Bars and bartenders were amazing. Basically three resorts in one. Gold cart drivers available at all times to take you across resorts. Beach is not good. But, activities and pools more than make up for this.

We had a junior suite, it was ground level. Nice size room, was a little musty smelling. We could hear our neighbors through the walls. Some nights it was very noisy outside the room, people screaming and breaking stuff. Be prepared to walk alot to get food. Some of the pool bars closed way too early. Service was decent not the best we have had in Cancun but it was good. Food was decent we liked the marketplace for lots of lunch options. Kobo was a good meal and good show, they get you in and out in an hour. Make sure to visit the adult only roof top pool and bar in Ventus Ha, it has spectacular views.

My family just returned from a fantastic stay at this resort. My kids loved the pool and all the activities they provided throughout the day. The food options were outstanding, and we always felt like the selection was great. Above all else, the resort felt extremely safe, and the staff were all kind and courteous. It was exceptionally clean in all areas. If you’re looking for lots of snorkeling and beach swimming, this might not be the resort for you. But we accessed the local community beach in a five minute drive for a day but could have happily stayed at the resort the entire time. Will be coming back in the future.

It was a property! It was a nice size that was very walkable. Plenty of restaurant options for the 5 days we were there. The beach wasn’t the greatest but we spent most of the time at the pool. Fun waterside and cliff jump area for kids.

We had a great stay at the resort, kids enjoyed the amenities and food was pretty decent. We were able to book the restaurants we were interested in going to and had a great experience at every one of those. I wouldn’t mind going back to one of the El Cids resorts in the future.

First time at an all inclusive so didn’t know what to expect. After 1 week being at the property I would go back to this location. First, the area is huge - this was confusing at the start but after a few days we got the hang of it. The hotel did try and upcharge us for a different room for 50$usd a night but we declined as we didn’t need to be closer to the pool. The hotel is connected with 2 other properties, so you have access to those restaurants and pools. The images on Expedia might include those from the other hotels, same with amenities. Marina is the hotel that everything happens at during the day, a lot more energy. If you want quiet look at the other two locations. Second, food options were great at all restaurants and we were always able to book a restaurant for evenings. Third, staff was very friendly everywhere from front desk to housekeeping etc. Fourth, it was clean. AC wasn’t super cold but was adequate and there was a fan in our room. No issues with temperature because of this. Fifth, Be Aware: we got a double queen room (fam of 4) and one bed was a queen, one bed was a Murphy bed. Much harder mattress and more uncomfortable. Our kids slept on the drop down bed so wasn’t an issue but I was expecting 2x full queens so I was surprised about this and feel it should be made known before hand. Lastly, beach is meh as other say too… we swam in the water but it’s nothing to be focused on. There’s lots of pools so no stress. Overall, 5* I would bring fam back!!

My family and I had a wonderful experience at this resort! The staff and service were truly excellent — everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure all our needs were met. The entire property was extremely clean and well-maintained, which made the stay even more comfortable. There was a great variety of food options, and everything we tried was delicious. Plus, there were plenty of activities available to keep us entertained throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!
