Small, affordable stay in Cancun

Casa Mallorca is a small family run hotel off a main street, which made it easy to walk to other areas to find food, shopping, etc. The staff were helpful and the cafe that is attached to the hotel is great. Food was tasty and it had excellent coffee.

We really liked this place. The bed was very comfortable and it was quiet given the proximity to everything. It was tricky to find and even our taxi driver had difficulty as there is no signage. We only had about three minutes of hot water which was unfortunate but the air conditioning works well. The cafe downstairs is excellent with incredible coffee.

Jorge and his daughter were extremely sweet and helpful! They really made us feel like friends even though we were just there for one night. The area is relatively quiet and next to a park, but there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Easy to come and go with a very secure gate and lovely plants and flowers. The owners were very friendly. The room was cleaned each morning while we enjoyed a breakfast of a fruit plate and an entre for under 10 dollars. Hard to find, no name in front. The entryway looks like a long hall with lots of beautiful plants.

It was a lovely place to stay for one night stopover in Cancun. It had plenty of eateries very close and within easy access to buses and taxis. The check-in was slow and it was not clear where to go. We waited outside the gate and had tried to call the hotel but there was no answer. In the end we enquired at the cafe and was told to wait there until a staff can come check us in. The room was nice and simple and clean and served our needs.

It is clean. the owner is very nice and helpful. There is no lobby or common sitting area. We arrived late at night, it would be helpful if there is a doorbell. The lady in the restaurant next door confirmed we’re at the right place. installing an exhaust fan in the bathroom with waterproof paint will reduce moisture accumulation. It was a good stay.
