This hotel is not what is as advertised. Poorly maintained and staff are barely seen on the property. Bed was hard, food made us sick and the smell from the seaweed was too much to bare. The swimming pool looked abandoned and for decoration with no one making use of it . We had to change accommodation after the first night of a 4 night stay. Decorations are bizzare with the skulls but maybe that’s the vibe they are going for. Just be cautious of your bookings and read the reviews before making a decision. We wished we had, would have saved us the trouble of booking

When arriving the staff greeted us well, couldn’t check in until 3 when on their site said that there was a speedy check in. There was debris in the parking lot as well as on the beach, it also had a bad smell due to the seaweed that washed up on the beach They did not disclose that the beach was going to be off limits due to repair. The rooms were clean but the toilet continued to clog and the water in the shower was cold. The door had a broken lock on it and the chairs by the pool were torn on the seat. They don’t provide you with the WiFi password and you had to ask for the remote because they were not in the rooms. We pretty much had the whole hotel to ourselves so it was pretty quiet.

This property is a catfish experience. It looks good and is nicely decorated but the service and amenities are failing. When we first got to the property there was no AC and there was a strong sewer smell. Our room door did not lock and there was no WiFi available… We were not accommodated during our stay(room toilet continuously stopped working , there were no wash clothes available, no pool towels offered, and our room key stopped working). Our electricity/AC turned off every time we left our room. Highly do not recommend this resort. I’d suggest for the resort to put more into their amenities/ guest services rather than their hotel decor and or boho aesthetic.

I had serious concerns about the safety and the condition of the property. As a solo traveler, I didn’t feel comfortable or secure, so I made the difficult decision to cancel my reservation. Out of fairness, I contacted the hotel directly to explain the situation and request a refund. They responded and indicated that they would approve the refund. I then provided that information to Expedia, thinking they would support a resolution. Unfortunately, neither the hotel nor Expedia followed through. The hotel stopped responding, and Expedia denied the refund, saying they couldn’t validate the hotel’s written approval, even though I submitted proof. I did everything on my end to cooperate, but I was left without support. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. As someone who books travel often, I expected more accountability from both the hotel and Expedia. I hope this review helps others make informed decisions and encourages better customer service moving forward.
