Had complimentary continental breakfast for our 2 night's stay. Valued @ $12 but told it would cost another $19.50 per person to select hot breakfast option on Monday but only $7.50 on Sunday. Continental breakfast had rather limited options. Could not get Channel 10 on TV no matter what I did, so missed the rugby match between Wallabies and Springboks.

the experience was fine.
terribly small TV for the unit, the fridge door looks like it has rust spots on it but functions ok, the front door weather sheild was hanging off when we arrived but was fixed quickly (it has been off for a while as it has marked the tiles), the hot water service is really noisy and in the bedroom cu.,
"The staff were extremely well trained and friendly"
My booking was made at short notice on the wot if site, I arrived at the hotel and was welcomed with a friendly smile and upgrade room😃👍
The staff were all wonderful and well trained, every thing was done with little to no fuss, the room was clean and up to date😃👍
The restaurant staff and meals were lovely.
Lots of food and facilities available within walking distance. Shamrock Hotel across the road and down a block did a fantastic dinner since the motel restaurant was not open when we stayed. 24/7 IGA around the corner so you can get any bits that you need at any time. Motel was well laid out, good parking. Quiet considering it's next to the highway. Very clean.
The sweetest city in Australia, Mackay is the biggest sugar producing region in the country, which only makes its scenery more diverse. From highways lined with sugar cane plantations the coast opens up before you with a seemingly endless stretch of white sandy beaches. Stay in our Mackay accommodation and you will have access to over 30 of the best beaches on the North Queensland coast at your doorstep.
Off the coast, scattered throughout the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, there are a number of tropical islands to explore and our Mackay hotels offer the perfect base to set out from. From the koala colony of St Bees Island to the pristine coral gardens of Scawfell Island and of course the entrance to the spectacular Whitsundays, Brampton Island, there is plenty to see and do while you stay in a Mackay hotel.
