My flight from Sydney arrived at 5:00 am but my room was not available until6:00 pm. I was exhausted but had to sit in the lounge until the room was cleaned. Staff were unsympathetic and often spoke of their interest not acknowledging they understood me. Could be their cultural assertiveness but speaking too fast and loudly was intimidating.

Near fire department so be prepared with earplugs. Continental breakfast is only when booking through the hotel not Expedia. $100 difference through Expedia, so a walk to McDonald’s, Tim Hortons or any of the breakfast places nearby still saved money.

We had a great weather week too.
Very nice hotel near the train station. Another surprising sight near by was the main library, Vancouver lookout, and the stadiums. The hotel was so nice in that it was a suite and we could stretch out. And the lovely bottle of wine.
