Mercure needs to work on this property. There is a mini fridge, a kettle and a microwave, but no plates, bowls, forks or spoons to be found in my room. Temperature control was another issue. There is heating, but if that unit cools, it was not working. It could be a great hotel if there was more thought put into what a tourist might need for comfort and convenience.

This centrally located semi-highrise hotel was the perfect fit for my time in Wellington. It’s right where I needed to be and the price seemed pretty reasonable for all it offered. I think I may have lucked out being on a high floor, but the views were outstanding, the airflow between windows was great, and the water pressure was a true gift after lots of walking. I really enjoyed the nearby shops and restaurants and the attentive front desk. There is no gym but there are plenty of other things to do around the area. I would return.
