Room was clean, staff were friendly and courteous. Matters requiring attention Room 829: 1. Ensuite sink needs drain unblocking 2. Ensuite air extraction very poor, everything steamed up very quickly 3. TV console trim coming adrift, needs glueing back in place before a guest walking between bed and TV catches it with their knee and rips it right off.

Our toddlers iPad cover got stolen, upon check out the cleaner was cleaning rooms opposite to ours. After check out we returned to get the iPad, as it had been hidden by our toddler, from the room and its outer protective case had been stolen!! It’s $60 to replace and highly irritating as we hope she doesn’t smash the whole unit before we can replace it! We have messaged reception but await response on it. Otherwise - Alan, hotel staff was great. Food and room average.

The location is great. Walkable to a lot of shops and eateries. The coffee in the restaurant downstairs is outstanding. It was nice to have somewhere onsite to grab a bite when the rest of the city closes early. We were greeted at the front desk by smiling, friendly people most of the time. The room was good. The only little gripe is the shower. It's very small. The sprayer also did not stay in place. The pressure will just about knock you down then the spray shoots straight up. You definitely need to play with that to get the pressure just right so that it holds the sprayer in place. When you turn it off it just flops forward out of its cradle. Kind of a hassle but we managed. Also, the soap they provide in the shower caused severe irritation to my face. It cleared up after 3 days but it was the only possible cause as it was the only thing I had done differently. I'm not a very sensitive or allergic person, so just fyi. I will carry my own from now on. It's a decent hotel. Pretty basic, but okay.

Great location - supermarket Woolies one street back. Don't expect an early check-in unless you want to pay extra. Comfortable beds - great hot water. Pillow choice -only one disappointment - the room phone 508 didn't work so I couldn't order my pillow late at night and was already in my pyjamas. Taxi stand out the front of hotel but ubers are cheaper. I didn't use the restaurant/breakfast but area looked nice. Great I could make my own cup of tea. I would recomend.

No frills or thrills with these economic rooms—but, it’s an Ibis. Had issues with our shower head locking in the upright position which made showering an acrobatic challenge but appreciated the great, friendly staff and central location of this hotel.

This was a spur of the moment booking when our flights were cancelled. The staff were on to it and very friendly and engaging. The rooms are good for the price and the restaurant meals were very nice. Overall would stay again if I needed accommodation in Wellington.
