We were booked. Drove four hours to stay there. Our excitement quickly turned sour when they said they were closed. We asked why they didn’t tell us, they said the left messages. They didn’t. I had two missed calls from an unknown number. No messages. No emails. No apology. They offered to let us stay there with no food and kilometres from the bars and restaurants. This was the day of stay and it took me a further four hours to sort out our booking so we weren’t charged. I got two calls the next morning before 6am from Phoenix, Arizona, Expedia trying to rebook us for the following night. I eventually got it sorted with a rebooking. But that is another tale of woe.

The Q Station is a unique place for all ages & tastes. The opportunity to go on a professionally run Ghost & History tour was a highlight. Why stay in a fancy shiny hotel when you can immerse yourself in important olden day’s environment?

The setting overlooking the harbour, the water traffic and the odd seal. The lovely historical old buildings in a unique harbour side setting. Attended a family wedding and can definitely recommend the location for such an event. The staff were excellent and very attentive. Will come and stay again sometime in the furure.
