First night we got there at 1 in the morning. Lots of drunk people were making noise, and then our room started having bugs inside. They wanted to spray the room while we were staying inside. We had to ask them to change our room, and the lady at the front desk wanted us to pay extra for the new room; then, after she talked to the manager, he said we did not have to pay extra.

Room was clean cozy and inviting. Very comfy bed with all the amenities as advertised. Location was great, and this is just a matter of personal preference, disappointed with Clearwater beach in general. Coming from Southwest Florida, didn’t find Clearwater beach as stunning or pristine as I remember from decades ago. Miles of high-rises blocked views and miles of blue beach canopies cluttering the beach. Not enough restaurants or on-site beach entertainment, restaurants activities as I would expect- Atlantic City, NJ had more things to do beachfront than Clearwater

Was not bad, the rooms were nice for what we paid . Just the hotel itself looks a bit rough in places , you can see deterioration on the ceilings and walls throughout the halls . But overrall stay was great and would recommend to other people .

Perfect Bang for Your Buck

You get all the basics at a great price. Rooms were big and clean, parking was free, and we were a 5 minute walk from the beach. I've stayed at more expensive places there like the Edge Hotel and Courtyard Mariott, and they're not worth the added cost vs Pelican Pointe

During my time at the hotel the rooms were clean and 90 % of the staff was excellent with the exception of the staff on Sunday, June 29th. Three women were on staff and they made very rude comments to my friends who were visiting. The front desk clerk made it a point to come to our room and accuse us of being loud and threatened my girlfriend by putting her finger in her face threatening to press charges for smoking on the property, my girlfriend does not smoke. As the evening approached we went to the pool and 1 of the women was patrolling the balcony, staring at us and making the evening extremely uncomfortable. It honestly felt as though we were in jail and they were making the rounds. Quite honestly if it weren't for those employees the hotel would have been great, it is unfortunate that these women made is so uncomfortable that we do not plan on returning. With the exception of those 3 employees that day/evening the staff was great. I truly hope management sees this review and make better decisions on who works there.
